SINCLAIR- Yellow candeUbta,\ decorated with straw flowers, starburst and dried elucalYptus set the scene for the 4.7 -,evening wedding of Judith Lynn Taylor and John Russel Sinclair on Friday, July -4. The Rev. W.H. McWhinnie Officiated at the double -ring ceremony at the First Baptistthurch, Goderich. The couple are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Taylor RR 4, Goderich and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sinclair, RR 2, Clinton. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a long, empire._ waisted dress with long sleeves, L made from white bridal satin. White satin applique roses bordered the open neckline. The two-tiered scalloped veil Wtis held in place by a headband of tulle roses and beads. ' She carried a white bridal Bible with a corsage of orange ice sweetheart roses with yellow streamers, atop. • The maid -of honor, Miss Karen Taylor, Goderich, • sister of the bride and the bridesmaids, Miss Kathy Taylor. London and Miss Marjorie Taylor, Toronto, both sisters of the bride, were gowned identically in short - sleeved dresses made from yellow printed polyester crepe, much the same pattern as the bride's. They all wore daisies and roses in their hair and carried baskets Of orange roses, yellow daisies and starburst accented with dried flowers. Miss Joanne Masclthe, Mitchell, the bride's cousin was flowergirl. She was dressed identically to the attendants and carried a„ smaller basket of the same flower arrangement. The groomsman was Wm. Sinclair, Palmerston, brother of the groom and ushers were Robt. Sinclair, Clinton and Vita Sinclair, Lucknow, also brothers of the groom. Ringbearer was Master Rodger Taylor, -Goderich, brother of the bride. Music was supplied by organist Frank Bissett and Wm. Chase, soloist. At a reception later at Saltford Valley Hall, guests entered where a table was set with yellow _dandles, the • wedding cake and the attendants' flower baskets-, s -The britle'smotker alose a lon/floral crimp goviETEI' beige trines styled with a scoop neckline and long sleeves. She wore a corsage of burgundy roses and carnations. AA The groom's mother selected a long white dress with deep purple shaded floral stripes accented -With a cor- sage of white sweetheart roses. For travelling north, the bride- changed to a yellow crimp pant suit with a white blouse and a corsage of orange sweetheart roses. Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair are residing at RR 3, Goderich. Guests attended the wedding from Chatham, Stratford, Mitchell, Bayfield, Clinton, Goderich and surrounding area. Prior to her marriage, the bride attended showers held in her honour at the home of Mrs. Melba McLennan, Oak- ' dale, for the grciom's relatives; Mrs. Jean Armstrong's home in Zurich for the bride's relatives; at Benmiller community shower; and Mrs..Gail Sindaies home for friends. Brucefield United Church for the wedding of Robert Marshall, son OW and Mrs. Bill Marshall, Collingwood and Bonnie Dalrymple daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dalrymple, Brucefield. The bride, who was given in marriage by her mother anirl father, wore a formal len gown with long sleeves. She carried a bouquet of pink perfection -and corsage lilies. Matron° of honor was Betty MacPhee, sister of.the bride, and the bridal attendants were iJo-Anne Hayman and Elizabeth ?Marshall. The flower girl was Carri Lyrine Pine. Bill Johnston of Collingwood was the best man. Ushers were Sandy Marshall, brother of the groom and Bruce MacPhee, brother-in-law of the bride. The organ music was played by Mrs. Barbara Cooper. The music was supplied by Rebecca Mar- shall, sister of the -groom and Robert Marshall, uncle of the groom. After the ceremony, the dinner was served by the U.C.W. in the Brucefield Church Hall. The bridal party then toured Brucefield in a manure spreader. The reception was at the Clinton Legion. A good time was had by all. The bride was honored prior to the wedding with showers given by her aunts, Doreen Baird and Grace • McBride. Edward Island, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mrs. Margaret Doan passes Mrs. Margaret (Bell) Doan passed away in Drumheller Hospital, Alberta on July 25th in her 99th year. She was the daughter of the late James and Marion Bell of Hensall, and moved to Alberta in 1908 where she taught school until her mariiage to the late Edivin Doan. Surviving are a son Jack and two daughters Mrs. (Ethel) Don Sharpe, and Mrs. (Marion) Alf. Tieasen, all of Alberta. Social Mites Rev. Harold Snell of Exeter conducted the Combined Church service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Mr. Jack Caldwell presided at the organ. Mrs. Howard Adkins was hostess at her home on Sunday in honor of her daughter Gloria, bride -elect of August 14th, when -relatives and friends called to extend best wishes.
