Ron Barry took the limelight in the seriesof short sketches and .excellently portrayed many roles from "Neill" the snare to crotchety "Grampa Boyle". He was well .supported by Jim Schaefer who portrayed the solid father figure and many other roles including "Indian Joe". Such touching stories as Canadian boys going to fight in the First World War to return to the farm. physically and mentally scarred and the heartbreaking story of Sammy the half-witted hired man whose love for the widow ended in tragedy, were equally effective and brought a hush over the audience of 405.
