able to be home after several
days as a patient in Clinton
Public Hospital.

ball team lost an exciting
game 17-13 to Vanastra.
Linda Hakkers did the pit-
ching. Meanwhile in house
league play Hakkers easily
defeated Bean's team, 45 to
18. Janice McClinchey led the
Hakkers team both on the
field and at bat. The home
coaches are asked to give
Dana Bean. 526-7769 the
'scores of their games.

visited last Sunday with Mr.

The Presbyterian Woman's
Missionary Society held its
July meeting at the home of
Misses Ella, Minnie and
Laura Wagner with the
president Mrs. • Wilfred
Sanderson in charge. She
gave the call to worship and
welcomed all.
The devotional period was
in the charge of Mrs. Roy
Daer. The scripture lesson.
John 14 was read alternately.
The meditation was based on
the theme. "Let not your
heart be troubled".
Roll call was answered by a
Bible verse containing the
word "Father".
The minutes of the previous
meeting were• accepted as
read by the secretary Miss
Minnie Wagner. A short
business period was held and
items of business discussed.
The offering was received
by Miss Minnie Wagner and
dedicated by prayer by Mrs.
Sanderson.
The mission study was "I
was a Shastri or Teacher"
and given by Mrs. Frank
Raithby. It was an interesting
account of a young Hindu who
was in training to be a priest
in India and became In-
terested in communism. He
heard a message from the
Rev. Angus McKay at the
Janhsi mission on the radio,
became interested in
Christianity and came and
attended the Ontario Bible
College, and returned a
missionary to his own people.
After the benediction lunch
was served by Misses Ella.
Minnie and Laura Wagner.

claim that 'Jesus IS God' is

with providing constant care
for the needs presented by the
developmentally han-
dicapped.

application forms.
All applications will be

We are sorry to hear of
Sarah Storey's fall, we wish
her a very speedy recove y.
Many young peopie from
this area are joining in at the
Dutch Reform Bible School in
Clinton.
I'm happy to say that after
my experience on Friday
evening, that everyth;ng is
alright. I swallowed a fish
bone at 5:30 p.m.. eating our
evening meal. It's a long
story. but I ended up at
Victoria Hospital. London in
emergency with two x-rays
taken and a' number of doc-
tors lookingdown my throat.
The specialist arrived, and
good thing he saw the bone.
just about an inch long. -By
9:30 p.m. we were on our way
back to Clinton.

Centre, James Taylor,
Minister of Community and

The Town of Wingham has
received Ministry funding to
cover property acquisition,
construction costs, fur-
nishings and equipment for
the day are centre for the
developmentally han-
dicapped.
The Ministry will provide
S241.440, which is 100 percen
of the total cost. A cheque fo
54.988 was recently fur
warded to Mr. J.E. Reavie
Mayor of Wingham. Thi
amount represents the firs
payn7ent of the Ministr
grant.
The estimated opening dat
for the centre is October
1976.
