candelabra,decorated the
.Ontario Stret United Church
on June 26, for a pretty
wedding, when Gregory Lee
Armstrong and Patricia Lynn
Proctor, pledged their
wedding vows, in a double
ring ceremony.
The groom is the elder son
' of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd
Armstrong, RR 1 Zurich, and
the bride is the elder
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Cameron Proctor, Clinton.
Rev. R.S. Lewis, performed
the ceremony, and Mrs. J.
Moffatt, Brucefield played
the wedding music. The
soloist was Rich Snell,
Londesboro who sang
"Sunrise, Sunset" and
"Somewhere".
The bride given in
marriage by her father,wore
a floor -length gown of white
sheer over polyester taffeta.
Her dress featured a high
, neckline and empire
waistline accented by french
lace and was appliqued with
the same. Her long sheer
sleeves were gathered by a
cuff of lace. Her floor -length
Veil, which fell from a juliet
cap of french lace, was ap-
pliqued to match. She carried
a cascade bouquet of pink
sweetheart roses. white
starburst poms and blue
14 stephanotis.
Miss' Lorrie Symons.
Clinton was maid of honour,
choosing a gown of white and
blue flocked nylon over blue
dacron. with a low square
neckline and back. short
caplet sleeves. and a sash in
back trimmed in white lace.
She wore a white wide -
brimmed hat trimmed with
blue chiffon. and a starling
silver locket, a gift from the
bride and carried a gathering
basket of pink' variegated
miniature carnations. white
starburst poms, and blue
straw flowers.

Miss- Sandra Miller, Kit-
chener; Miss Donna Wilson,
London; cousins of the bride,
and Miss Frances Arm-
strong, Zurich, sister of the
groom. The junior
bridesmaid was Miss Louise
Proctor, Clinton, sister of the
bride. Their dresses and
flowers were all identical to
that of the maid. of honour.
The best man was Mr.
Larry McKinley, Toronto,
friend of the groom. The
ushers were Gerald Arm-
strong, Zurich, brother of the
groom; Steve Taylor,
Brucefield, cousin of the
groom and Clare Proctor,
London, brother of the bride.
The junior usher was Dean
Armstrong, Zurich, cousin of
the groom.
At the reception which
followed' at the Orange
Shillelagh, Vanastra,
decorated with white and
pink starburst poms, pink
variegated carnations and
blue ,candelabras, the bride's
mother greeted guests in a
floor -length gown of pink
chiffon over polyester with
white accessories. Her
corsage was of pink
variegated carnations.
The groom's , mother
assisted in a 'floor -length
gown of aqua :polyester crepe
with matching jacket ',and
corsage of mauve variegated
carnations.
Later, the bride donned a
three piece vested suit of
yellow dacron, blue ac-
cessories and a corsage of
yellow roses. for a
honeymoon to Western
Canada. The couple will
reside at RR 1 Zurich.
Out of town guests were
present from St. Lambert,
Quebec; Mississauga. Oak-
ville, Etobicoke, Simcoe,
Staffa, Stratford, Ridgetown,
Kitchener, Waterloo, London.
Goderich and Seaforth, with
special mention of the two
grandmothers, Mrs. Ger-
trude Taylor, Seaforth, the
groom's grandmother and
Mrs. Stella Tyndall, Clinton.
the bride's grandmother.
Prior to the wedding. the
bride was honoured at
showers given by Mrs.
Dorothea Williamson,
Seaforth, aunt of the groom:
Mrs. Doreen Wilson, London,
aunt of the bride and Miss
Donna . Wilson; Mrs.
Margaret Armstrong,
Goderich, aunt of the groom
and Miss Lorrie Symons and
Nits. Arthur Aiken, for
friends and neighbours.

Candelabra decorated with
pink gladioli and white
daisies made the setting in
North Street United Church,
Goderich on June 26, for the
double -ring ceremony when
Rev. Ralph King united
Willia.md Donald Jewitt and
Patricia Annie Willert in
marriage.
The groom is the son of
Mrs. Jewitt and the late
William Jewitt of Seaforth,
and the bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Willert and the late
Milton Willert of Goderich.
Organist, Lorne Dotterer
accompanied a trio composed
of Mrs. Barbara Bosman.
Mrs. Bonnie Jewitt and Mrs.
Bette Jewitt, who sang "The
Wedding Song," "O Perfect
,j-ove" and "Walk Hand in
Hand With Me."
The bride, given in
marriage by her uncle, Mr.
Wilford Freeman and her
mother. wore an empire
waisted gown of white
polyester organza, richly
appliqued with Viennese lace.
The bodice featured a scoop
neckline and straight sleeves
.with flared cuffs. The daisy
trim on the attached
cathedral train matched that
on her double -tiered veil,
which covered the train and
was attached to a floral
headpiece. She wore a single
strand of pearls belonging to
her paternal grandmother.
The bride carried a colonial
bouquet of yellow sweetheart
roses. pink miniature car-
nations. stephanotis and
myrtle, with trailing
streamers entwined with
stephanotis.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Rosemary Gardner, Strat-
ford. friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Janice Preszcator, Lon-
deslaoro, sister of the groom
and Miss Janet Hutchinson.
London. friend of the bride
and Miss Joanne Wildgen,
Preston, friend of the bride.
They wore gowns of printed
polyester organza appliqued
with lace for an apron effect
in individualpastel shades of
blue. yellow. pink and green.
They wore matching head-,
pieces and carried nosegays
of daisy mums and baby's
breath.
The flowergirl, Miss Lori
Jewitt. Clinton, niece of the
groom. wore a white gown
styled identically to the
bridesmaids. She carried a
nosegay of pale pink
miniature carnations, yellow
sweetheart roses and
streamers 'caught with
stephanotis.
Best man was Brian Jewitt,
Clinton. cousin of the groom
and ushers were Ross Jowitt
of Clinton'and Larry,Jewitt of
Toronto, both brothers of the
groom.
Master Michael Presz-
cator, nephew of the groom
was the ringbearer.
The wedding dinner was
held in the church hall, where
the bride's mother received
guests. she wore a
multicolored chiffon gown
with a matching cape. She
was assisted by the groom's
mother who chose a floral
organza gown. Their cor-
sages featured pink
Sweetheart roses. A reception
was held at Saltford Valley
Hall.
For a honeymoon to Nor-
thern Ontario. the bride
selected a street -length
figured burnt orange dress
and wore a corsage of gar-
denias and stephanotis.
The couple are residing at
RR 5, Clinton.
Guests at the wedding were
present from Columb,ts.
Ohio; London, Kitchener,
-Saskatchewan, Dashwood
and Owen Sound.
Prioor to her marriage
Mrs. Willert entertained at an
open house in , honor of her
daughter. She was also en-
tertained at showers given by
Mrs. Rosemary Gardener,
Mrs. Debbie Jamieson, Mrs.
Ethel Ball, Mrs. Janet Trusty
and Mrs. Betty Williams,
Mrs. Mary Salverda. and Mrs.

marriage at the Wesley
United Church in Clinton on
Thursday. July 15.
Rev. John Oestreicher

were Mrs. Earl Lawson and
Dennis Waymouth. The
couple will spend the summer
in Harcourt. Ontario.

four families now connected.
Mr. and Mrs. Thaler left by
motor for a trip throughout
Northern Ontario and upon
their return will reside in
Kitchener.
