Audiences will be delighted
and touched by this forceful
story of a naive lad caught in
the complexities of Olympic
competition. The original
music, with its strong country
flavour and appropriately
energetic production will
provide a stimulating
evening's entertainment.
Jim Schaefer, the author of
Shape. is well known to Blyth
Festival audiences as an
actor. Last season and again
this year he is a featured
performer in the popular
'Mostly In Clover' and has
earned impressive reviews
for his OW of Chris Vitaters,
the romantic pilot in ilovi
Met My Husband'. Mr.
Schaefer is alSO the author

open at the Blyth Summer
Festival this year and will

Annie F. Bond
Mrs. Annie Frances Bond,
formerly of Clinton, Ailed
Tuesday, July 8 in London
after lengthy illness. She was.
81.
Mrs. Bond was born the
daughter of the late M. and
Mrs. George Cooper in
Goderich Township on April
12, 1895. She attended school
there, and later went on to
receive her RN degree from
Wingham Hospital. She was

Albert E. Bond who died in -
1971. After retiring to Clinton
in 1951. Mrs. Bond became a
life member of the UCW at
the Wesley Willis United
Church.
She is survived by three
brothers. Dr. AS. Cooper of
Toronto, Earl of Goderich
and Charlie of Midland. Also
surviving her are her three
daughters. Mrs. Bernice
Haughton, Mrs. Gertrude
Trewartha and Mrs. Helian
Woodcock all of London, and
her son Lloyd of Clinton. She
kad.10 grandchilriren and one
great grandchild.
The funeral -was held July 9
at the Ball 'Funeral Bome.

Crich reunion held
The 4.ist Annual Crich
Reunion was held at Seaforth
Lions Park on Sunday, July 11
with good attendance.
During the afternoon a
sports program was enjoyed
by .everyone, young and old.
In the races Matt Townsend
won in the up to three-year-
old class, Murray Townsend
came in first in the boys four
to six class. Scott- Townsend -
won in the boys seven to nine
group, Bonnie Turner won in
the girls seven to nine class,
David Townsend won in the
boy b ten and over class and
Julie Townsend took first
prize in the girls ten and over
class.

contest had a tough time picking out a winner. Left to

In the ball throw contest the
girls winner was Julie
