At Elmira on Monday night }:lame Messenger, owned by Evelyn Rapson of Holmesville and driven by her son, I8 -year-old Bill Rapson, got his second win of the year in 2:12.1. I'llllala► !Canton it lifetime aes,ident of Hullett Township, William Watt Hamilton. died.on July 9 in the Clinton Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 72. He was born on December 1.2. 1903 to James and Jade Hamilton on Lot 13, Con- cession 11 of Hullett Town- ship. He attended school in Hullett and he and his wife. the former Pearl Luella Moon, were married or October 8, 1930. They lived and farmed on the Ilth. He was a member of the United Church. Surviving Mr. s Hamilton .resides his wife, are a sister, -Anna H. Hill of Winchester and his three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Lyon of Londesboro; Mrs. Helen' Dale 'of Clinton and Mrs. Lenora" Lamont of Holyrood. Also surviving him are his six grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday. July 12 at the Ball Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Harold Snell officiating. Pallbearers were: William Knox, Blyth; John Hesseiwood, Blyth: David Anderson; Londesboro: Clarence Vanderlei, Lon- desboro: William and Tom Leiper of Londesboro. Flowerbearers were: Larry Walsh, Blyth ; Ken. Moon, Londesboro; Trevor Moon, Goderich and Grant Henderson, Kitchener. Interment was held at Burns Cemetery in Hullett Township. HarNllcl�,u�hx� Murney Former lineman with Ontario Hydro. Harold Graham (Butch) Murney died at the age of 77 in Minton Public Hospital on July 8. after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 22, 1899, to William and Susan Murney in Goderich, and attended public and high w school there and later studied F at Ryerson Polytechnlcal s Institute in Toronto. He was married on October D 24, 1933 in Seaforth to Sadie Hart and theylived in Clinton C until his retirement in 1970, when they moved to Bayfield. Mr. Murney was a great sport enthusiast and played baseball and hockey in Goderich, Toronto and Detroit in earlier years. He is survived by his wife and two children, William of Clinton and Mrs. Patricia, Cummings of Mt. Brydges, and four grandchildren. He is predeceased by his. son Danny, who passed away in 1959. The funeral was held on Saturday. July 1 at the Ball Funeral Home in CLinton with Rev. Ed Nelson officiating. Interment followed at the Maitland Cemetery in Goderich.
