Mr. and Mrs. George Wise and Joe of RR 1, Severn Bridge. and Miss Dorthy Morin of Sudbury were guests of Mrs, Alfred Hudie last week. +++ In the Orangemen's Parade held 'on July 10 this year in St. Marys. Watson. (News- Melfillop approves drain Rngineer By Wilma Oke McKillop Council appointed Engineer H.M. Gibson of London as drainage engineer to prepare a report for the necessary repairs to the Buchanan Drain at a council session in Winthrop last week. A petition for the repairs to the Smillie drain was also accepted. Council `endorsed a resolution from the Town of Trenton concerned with the increase of crime and van- dalism and dissatisfied with the punishment handed out by the courts. Land severence for agricultural purposes was approved for the Squire Herdman Estate of 131 acres on Lot I Con. 14 north. Building permit ap- plications were approved for Sbefley Burgess.
