After.tlte excitement of
,your wedding day, you'll
be off for your honeymoon.
Whether it's a bit trip or
a small one, you'll save
a lot of bother if you plan
your packing carefully.
Here are some hints:
• Pack shoes, hair dry-
ers, clocks, and other
heavy things at the hinge
side of your suitcase --
they'll be on the bottom
when you carry it, so they
won't crush your clothes.
• Pack firmly. Loosely -
packed clothes will shift
clothes fresher on
around in transit and
wrinkle more easily.
• Pack in sections and
not in layers --- sportswear
together, evening wear tb-
gether-, lingerie together.
It's easier to get at things
that way, and easier to
re -pack firmly.
• Distribute weight
evenly an both sides of
your suitcase (pack one
heavy articlet either end
of the hanger. and it will
be easier to carry.
• Fasten all buttons
honeymoon oon tri►
and sippers, then fold ev-
erything
verything in thirds length-
wise
engthwise — a lengthwise fold
will comeout naturally as
you wear the garment.
• Pack all. liquids.
(shampoo, cosmetics) and
aerosols in. a separate car-
ry-on
arry-on case.
• Take clothes that
don't wrinkle easily.
• Because you'll be try-
ing to save as much space
as possible, take clothes
and accessories that you
can mix and match.

Getting married is one thing,. but announcing
it to friends and relatives is quite another.
Depending upon whether a formal wedding is
planned, invitations to the wedding must be
carefully chosen.
Whether a couple chooses to have a very small
and intimate wedding with say 20 guests, or
a large wedding with 250 guests, invitations
must be sent out.
• . .
OF COURSE the most personal, and also the
most time-consuming invitations are the hand-
written ones. If a bade and/or her sisters and
attendants have legible and attractive hand-
writing. they may choose to write them them-
selves.
The easy way out is to hire a writing service.
Often these services • will have available the
services of a person who is well versed in many
scrip faces and can tailor an invitation to a
couple s desires. anywhere from an old Ger-
man hand to ultra -modern hand -Fettered print -

an invitation the look of elegance and formality
necessary for formal wedding invitations.
Invitations to a church wedding always read
the: "honor of your presence" etc.. and those
invitations' to the reception read the pleasure -
of your company", etc.
All of the proper ways of wordinginvitations
and reply cards. etc. can be discussed with
any knowledgable stationerycconsultant.
The single most important item on any invi-
tation is the date. So set It first and go on from
.there.
