with The Ellood is Strong by
Lister Sinclair. This new
musical version of Mr. - Sin -
dales story about a Scottish
immigrant family living in
Canada in the 1840's will be
co -directed James Roy
and Stephen Thorne. The
music is being composed by
Glenn Morley and is based on
traditional Scottish tunes.
How I: Met. My Husband by
Alice Munro was originally
produced as a C.B.C. drama.
Now adapted for the theatre,
July 6 will mark the lint
performance of the stage
version.

for accumulating the most points in the
sewing division for children six years
and under. -
Mrs. Mary Marsh, Clinton received a
set of sewing books from Simplicity for
receiving the most points in the sewing
'section. A one-year subscription to
Simplicity --Home Catalogue was
awarded to Mrs. Frank McDonald who
accumulated the secondhighest amount
of points, and Mrs. Ken Johnston,
Clinton who had the third highest
number of points received a copy of the
"Simplicity' Sewing Book."
In the knitting aid crocheting section,
Scott Paper Ltd. donated merchandise
to Mrs. Connie Colclough who received
the mostpoints in that section.

The Recreation Board now
• faces two alternatives: to
reinforce the existing roof at
a cost of $130,000 or remove
the old roof and install a new
steel roof deck with steel
trusses at a cost of $225,000.
The estimated cost of the new
roof also includes reinforcing
the roof on the west side and
under the auditorium floor,
masonary work, insulated
pre -painted metal siding, new
ceiling and light fixtures in
the auditorium and arena and
other painting, electrical 'and
mechanical work.
After numerous proposals
the members of the
Recreation board decided to
Mrs. Heimpel, received a cash
donation from the Clinton Women's
Institute for the most points ac-
cumulated in the needlework section.
In the women.' _division of domestic
science, Club House Foods Ltd. awarded
Mrs. Dick Roorda, Brucefield with a
special prize for the highest number of
points. In the over-all baking section
Mrs. J.H. Johnstone, Goderich received
a gift, assortment from Christie -Brown
and Co. Ltd. for accumulating the most
number of points.
The floral section took its"prizes with,
Mrs. J.H. Johnstone receiving a cash
donation from the Ladies' Division for
the highest number of points.
Mrs. Heimpel, received a gift cer-
tificate from Simpson Sears Ltd. for all,
most points in tie homenialitrig seettoo.
