Biggest bears
The glacier bear and the
Kodiak bear in Alaska are the
biggest of all the colored
types. They are similar to the
grizzly in appearance " but
belong to a different species
and are probably descended
from Siberian bears that
migrated to Alaska many
centuries ago. The polar bear
is an entirely different
species and is found only on
the Arctic shores and sea ice.
