Mrs. Doris Jacklin was emcee for the program and the twenty-one celebrants received gifts from the institute. Miss. Clinton died May ,.-1976, after a long illness. ,was 61. to son of the late Edward Myrtle Steep, he was rn in Petrolia, Ontario, on i ember 13. 1914. He married Anne Grace wards in Hoimesville and couple lived in Clinton. r. Steep was a main- nce craftman with the AF and was stationed in triton. He was also a ember of the Presbyterian rtrch. Surviving him besides his ife are seven children, arbra. (Mrs. Joe Van arnme); Ken, June, (Mrs. t Shanahan) ; Leonard anis, Linda (Mrs. Doug oath). and Debra. (Mrs. orge Bromley), all of Tinton and Vanastra. . Also surviving are 12 andchildren and three others. Fred, Dick and Joe, 11 of Clinton and three stars, Dorothy of B.C.: elen of Bayfield; and edith. Goderich. The funeral was held May at the Ball Funeral Home, ith Rev. Nelson officiating. nterment followed at the inton Cemetery. Pallbearers. were: Russ yer, Wilf Castle. Oscar istap, Jack Carter, Jack ith, and Walter Jervis. lower bearers were Bill Van Damme and Robert Van Damme, both of Clinton: MARVIN A. GREEN Marvin Alexander Green. husband of the late Mildred A. Trumble died Saturday evening, May 15, in Mercy Hospital, Port Huron, Michigan. He was born July 22, 189$, in Port Huron, the only son of the late John and Anna (Alexander) Green, formerly of Colborne Township and Clinton. Mr. Green owned and operated Green's Grocery Store in Lexington, Michigan. from 1948 until he retired in 1963. Previously he had been employed as an engineer with the Canadian National Railway. He was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church and the Lexington Masonic Lodge No. 61,F. & A.M. Surviving are. two children a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Doris) Hustek, Mount Clemens, Mich. and a son. Harold V. Green, New Orleans, La., ten grand- children and five great grandchildren. Funeral and committal services were held at the Kaatz Huron Chapel Funeral Home, Lexington. on Tuesday, May 18, with burial in the Lexington Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Earl S. Lewis officiated at the double ring ceremony. Eugene Bradley was the organist and Marie and Winnifred Bradley were the soloists. The bride chose a floor - length gown of embossed suede satin and peau de sole with hand embroidered roses and a wedding ring collar. Her cathedral, three -tiered train was held in place with matching dress material forming tiny bows. She carried a crescent cascade of yellow sweetheart roses. stephanotis of all colours with white daisies and baby's breath. The .maid of honour, Miss Debbie Patterson of Kit- chener, itchener, wore a floor -length- l gown of lavender pompideau satin with an attached cape forming the sleeves and scooped neckline. She carried a cloud • bouquet of white daisies and coloured baby's breath. The bridesmaids. Miss Kathie Patterson, Kitchener: Miss Barbara Kilgour. Bayfield and Mrs. Helen Castrenis, Stratford. wore Soybeans - Raw soybeans grown on the farm can be used as feed for livestock. The brides mother greeted the guests at the White Carnation. Holmesville. She wore a long gown of teal blue with a matching sleeveless coat and- a corsage of mauve variegated carnations. The groom's mother assisted. wearing a long gown of apple green color, with a corsage of pink miniature carnations. The bride wore a blue pant suit with white accessories and a. pink carnation corsage for her trip to northern Ontario. Grandparents attending the wedding were Mr and Mrs. Aubry Foster, Markdale and Mrs. Mae Morrell. Clinton. Prior to her wedding, the bride was honored at showers given by Mrs. Douglas Smith, Clinton; Mrs. Ernie Russell. Markdale and Misses Debbie and Kathie Patterson. Clinton. Guests attended the wedding from Markdale. Toronto. Stratford. Owen Sound. Flesherton, Meaford. Goderich and surrounding areas. The couple are residing at 136 Elizabeth Street. Goderich. 4-H Vet club meets Doug Miller, Brian Lobb and John Van Vliet were the Junior leaders on the topics bacteria and disease, viruses and disease at the first meeting of the Huron County Veterinary Club on May 17th at the Board Room in Clinton Agricultural Office. Elaine Stewart opened the meeting with everybody standing and repeating the 4- H pledge and the minutes of the last meeting was read by Sandra Nivins, who is the %Sp-etary then the junior leaders took charge of the meeting by doing their topics. May 19. Ron Pickerskil.l. filling in for Father Hardy. passed out an information brochure sent out by St. Joseph's Church Last year. The brochure introduced the teaching staff of St. Joseph's School. told of their qualifications and gave a sh �biographical' history of ea teacher. This in- troduction was followed by a question and answer sheet solving many commonly - asked questions.
