be playing senior ball this
year. will be off to a shaky
start this Friday night when
they open here against
Listowel.
So far at many of their
practices, they have had
barely enough players out to
make a team, but
management says the season
always starts off this slow. •
Larry Reinhart, the Colts
manager, says he is confident
that as the season rolls
arqund, sufficient players
will come out of the wood-
work to make it a successful
year.
Game time Friday night is
9 p.m.

In the Friday YBC bowling
league, the Super Strikers
had a total pinfail, of 4.658
putting them in first place.
They were followed by
Ellerbys Angels with 4,587;
the Kingpins. 4,527; Har's
Headpins, 4,438; The
Strikers, 9.357; the
Gangbangers. 9,353; the
Lucky Aces, 4,256 and the
Rolling Balls, 3,877.

In the Saturday YBC
league, the Crown Kings had
a total pinfali of 4,780. while
Lynn's Boys had 4,651. Coop's
Clan had 4,584; the Autom tic
Strikes, 4,522; the Pin Bo
Delights, 4,448; the Strikes
and Spares. 4,324; the Hitters,
4,202 and the Gutter Balis,
4,153.

in first place. The Alley Cats

Elliott had the high average
of 191.
Gordon MacGregor had the
high single of 226 and the high
triple of 614 and the high
average of 198.

Tykes baseball underway
The, Clinton tyke baseball
team is officially underway
this year and thanks to
Wayne Smith, owner of Huron
Dead Stock, just east of
Clinton, the tykes . will be
wearing new uniforms this
year.
Coach Bryan Marriage has
five regulars back from last
year's W.O.A.A. winning
team, and has approximately
12 other lads out to tri and fill
in the vacant spots.
Due to the Spring Fair, the
tykes will open their season
on the road this year by
travelling to . Walkerton on
June 6 for a 2 p.m. contest.
The weaklink in this year's
team seems to be in the play.

this year allow free sub-
stitution in regular schedule
games only. This rule means
any player who is taken out of
the game may re-enter the
game and bat in his same spot
