development of overweight and heart disease.

called cholesterol. It is present in certain
foods we eat as well as being manufactured

circulatory and heart diseases. Fat is an
essential nutrient In your diet—but use the
right kind pnsaturated fat.
Here aro a few dietary guidelines: •
Use more of these:
* Margarine and vegetable oils containing
polyunsaturated ingredients like corn oils,
soybean oil, and cottonseed oil.
* Lean beef, veal, poultry and FISH.
* Fat-free milk, skim milk, dairy products,
and low-fat cheeses.
Fat is the most concentrated source of
energy. It carries vitamins A, D. E and K.
Some fat each day is necessary for a healthy
gall bladder, healthy skin and hair. Choose
salad dressing, a small amount of butter
or mayonnaise, and egg yolk in your mels.
Avoid hydrogenated peanut butter, processed
cheese, French -fried foods. Your diet must
haw some fat—and unsaturated fat is the
wisest choke.
