volunteered to make corsages
and other favours for the
patients for Hospital Day.

The Hospital Florence
Nightingale Pay and Health
Day plans are well prepared,
Mrs. C. Johnston reported for
the tea and MISS Cooper told
of the equipment and displays
to be shown by every
department in the hospital.
Mrs. B. Menzies reported
that the spring conference
held in Tillsonburg was well
attended, some 240 ladies
being present. Mrs. Wilma
Oke, Seaforth, District
Chairman, presided, The
speaker was Donald
Robertson, president of the
ORA.
An invitation was received
by the auxiliary ladies to
attend May 27 Hospital Day. in
Goderich.
Mrs. Elsie Henderson and
Norman Speir entertained 100
residents in the normal care
sitting room on Monday af-
ternoon with old time music
and a sing -a -long.
-The residents in women'$'
Bed Care are entertained
each Tuesday afternoon in
their dining area. We would
hope that the visitors to that
area who play the piano
would feel free to play a few
numbers and I know that it
would be greatly appreciated.

Canada were shown by
Clifford and Jean Henderson
of Brucefieid for Family
Night.

very interesting commentary
along with the pictures and
Clifford's mother, Mrs. Elsie
Henderson, played piano
favorites before the program
and during intermission.
Miss Mary Van Camp
expressed the appreciation of
the residents.
The week of June 20-26 is
being recognized as Senior
Citizens Week in Ontario and
plans are being made to have
Open House at Huronview. It
is hoped that the Senior
Citizens Clubs and in-
dividuals will join the
residents of the`Home to help
celebrate this event and
present a program or join in
the activities during the
week,.

presided over the May 6
meeting held in the council
chambers. A poem was read
which opened the meeting,
followed by the Lord's
prayer.
The minutes of the last
tneeting were read by the
secretary, Edna Adams and
Vi Lampman presented the
treasurer's report.
The roll call was answered

the flower and card report,

Rev. M. Reuber officiated
at the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. Carol Carter was the
organist and Graeme Craig,
the soloist, sang "The
Wedding Song". "Twelfth of
Never" sand "Sunrise. Sun-
set."
The bride wore a sheer silk
organza gown with long bell
sleeves. The flounce around
the neck of the gown had
dainty appliqued lace petals.
These appliqued petals were
also on the empire waist and
were scattered throughout
S the flounce of the long
cathedral train. Tiny silk
buttons 'accented the back of
the gown. A finger tip veil fell
from a cascade of petalled
daisies. She carried a bouquet
of fugi mums with a dozen red Northern Ontario, the bride

Adam Noonan of Toronto and
her grandsons Patrick and
Mark.
She was predeceased by
her husband H.F. Noonan, on
June 27, 1971, and in 1952 by
her sister Abigail (Mrs. Fred
Wallis) of. Westport, Con-
necticut_ Her surviving
sisters are Betty (Mrs.
Francis Dayrnond) of
Chatham, Mora (Mrs. Don
Wilson) of Belleville. Illinois,
and Miss M.H. (Billie)
Stewart of Clinton.
Ann's four grandparents
were pioneers in Stanley. She
grew up in the stone far-
mhouse on the ancestral
acres by the Bayfield River.
For cngsl of her life. Ann
was much in demand as a
soloist at weddings. social
events and church services.
This talent was enhanced by a
deep and abiding Christian
faith.
Ann was educated S.S. No.
1, Stanley, and at Clinton
Collegiate Institute. She
learned her a, b, c's from - Mr. Reid is predeceased by
famous "Master" George one daughter, Betty.

Edward James Reid of
Bayfield died Friday, May 7
in the Clinton Public Hospital.
He was 81.
Mr. Reid was born in
Hamilton, on September 4,
1895 to Etta MacDonald and
Andrew Reid.
He married Christine
Wilson (now deceased) in
1916 in Sarnia. where he was
employed as supervisor of the
steel division at the Ford
River Rouge Plant for 46
years.
On April 28,1965 he married
the former Louise Parker
King.
He was a member of the
Trinity Anglican Church and
a member of the Elks, in
Detroit.
Baird, who taught at S.S: No.
1 for 50 years.
In the late 1920's Ann took
employment as a dental
assistant in Windsor. In the
1930's she met Harold Ford
(Pat) Noonan, formerly of St.
Johns, Nfld., an employee of
the Canadian Bank of
Commerce. They were
married in Stanley, on June
27, 1936. Their son, Robert
Adam -Noonan, born 1939, is a
graduate of Ryerson
Po l ytechn i ca l Institute.
When Mr. Noonan reached
retirement, they moved to
Clinton in 1963 and bought a
pleasant home on Huron
Street. They were active in
the social life of Clinton and
attended St. Paul's Anglican
Church.
The funeral service took
place Wednesday. May 5,
from tyle Ball Funeral Home,
Surviving beside his wife
Louise is a nephew, Charles
Heffron of Sarnia.
The funeral was held May
10 at Trinity Anglican
Church, Hayfield with Rev.
Wm. Bennett officiating.
Interment followed at
Lakeview -cemetery in Sar-
nia.
Pallbearers were Charles
Heffron, Sarnia; Ed Rowse,
London; Glen Smith, Paris;
Lloyd Westlake, Bayfield;
Charles Reid, Varna and Bill
Parker, Bayfield.
Flower bearers were Tim
Atwood, Galion Ohio; Jim
