The first accident occurred two miles east of Clinton, at 5:15 p.m. Hartley Monaghan of Clinton was westbound on Highway 8 and William Manning of Stratford was eastbound when the two vehicles they were driving struck each other. Mr. Monaghan's vehicle received $800 damages while the vehicle Mr. Manning was driving received $1,500 damages. There were no injuries. At 5:45 p.m. another ac- cident took place on Highway 8. two miles east of the Benmiller Road. Michael Gregg of Toronto was . east bound and Blan- chard Wolfe of Clinton was westbound when their cars struck each other on the slippery road.
