Robbie Siert- sema earned a hat -trick, getting all three goals. Assisting were Darin Telford on two. and Robbie Chapman on the other. • ' On Saturday, February 14, Bayfield Atoms were invited to Zurich • to participate in their weekend tournament. Zurich defeated Bayfield 4 - 3. Hayfield's first goal was scored by David Phoenix. assisted by Robbie Siert- sema. David Telford scored the second goal on an assist from David Phoenix. Special thanks is extended to the Zurich Minor Hockey association for the invitation to attend and for the lovely lunch served to the Bayfield Atoms. On Monday. February 16, the Bayfield Atoms travelled to Blyth and were defeated by Blyth in an 3-0 shut -out: The next Atom game is in Blyth on Wednesday evening. On Saturday. February 14. the Bayfield Pee Wees travelled to Seaforth to play their final game of their series against Dublin and were defeated by a score of 3- 1. Scoring the lone goal for Bayfield was Brian Van Aaken with an assist from Jeff Merner and Andrew Couper. The Bayfield Pee Wees are now in the consolation playoffs against Grand Bend. The first game in a best of five series was played Monday February' 16 in Zurich against Grand Bend with Bayfield .winning 5 - 1. Mrs. Merton Merner. treasurer. gave her report which was approved. Mrs. Fitzsimons then turned the card and flower secretary's duties over to Mrs. Maude Weston. after reporting the sending of a sympathy message to the family of the late Mcs. ;Bishop) McQueen: a bir- thday card to Mr. Emmerson Heard and a Thinking of You to Mr. Harold Murney. who is hospitalized.
