player.
Brian "Victor" Kennedy
and Mike Ansteit each picked
up three goats and one assist
each Sunday, while ,,Paul
Kelly notched two goals and
another assist.
Single goals were gathered
by Bruce MacDonald, Robert
Heard, Neil Colquhoutf. and
Barry Lane.
Jamie Thompson and Paul
Priestapr each picked up two
assists while single efforts
went to John Graham. Bill
Steve Cook. Mike
Gibbings, and Dan
Colguhoun.

Huron Centennial School at
Brucefield won the girls'
division at the annual central
region volleyball tournament
at Central Huron Secondary
School last Saturday.
The tournament featured
teams from Brucefield,
Clinton, Holmesville. Hullet,
Blyth aand Seaforth.
The team from Blyth
Public School won the boys'
division, while the boys' team
from Clinton Public School
finished second.
In the girls' division, the
team from Hullett Public_
Schoolwas second to Huron
Centennial.

A rink- of ladles,, made up of
Flo smiths Wendy Tremeer,

Reuerman, attended. a ladies
spiel on Wednesday,
February 11 in Mitchell. They
played three, six -end games.
Although they Weren't in the
money, .they had a very en-
jcyable time.
On Saturday, February -14,
a rink of.Bob Ste. Marie, John
Patterson Jr., Herb Traviss
and Rosa --.Lovett travelled
W ingham to participate in a
Farmers' Spiel. ,They came
home with individual trophies
and a ten pound roast of beef
each, having won top spot in
theJas.R. Coultes Bonspiel.
A rink of Bob and Sharon
Wilson- and Bill and Marg
Fleming travelled__ _.to
Brampton for a two-day spiel
on • Saturday and Sunday,
February 14 and 15. They
played two ten -end games on
Saturday and two eight -end
games on Sunday.
They won one game, tied
one and lost two. .They were
out of the prizes, but reported
the weekend as very suc-
cessful and the hospitality of
the Brampton Club was ex-
cellent.

Joe MacLean travelled to,
Goderich on Wednesday
February 18 to compete in the
Huron -Perth finals- Results

presstime.

Rowcliffe Motors. A few

Club draw _ was,, Helen
Crocker.
Our president of the Ladies
Club, Grace Campbell,
returned from a week long
bonspiel in Ottawa. She
reported that they didn't do
as well as last year in the
prizes, but they had a mar-
vellous time.
There was a two o'clock
draw and a four o'clock dra:
the latter being rather in-
teresting, as the ladies not
only skipped but had the
privilege of picking their own
team.
A delicious meal was
served and the draw for the
pork was conducted. Winners

Pee Wee A's lose
The Clinton Pee Wee "A" ;
met a very strong team in
Wingham last Thursday
night. The "A" s twice fought
back to tie the game at 2-2 and
4-4. The third period and a
goal in the early minutes sent
Clinton down in spirit and
W ingharn added five more
goals in the period for a 10-6
win_
Goal scorers for Clinton
were Ian Peck, Tony Gib-
bings, Sean Van Dongen and
Brent Dew.

were defeated twice last week
by the Clinton Raiders,
leaving the Raiders in second
place.

Clinton held on to the
scoring in the second period
as Jennifer Luckham fired
two past the St. Marys goalie,
securing her third hat trick of
the season. . Assisting the
goals • were Sandra Burns.
Sandra Fremlin and Debbie
Cook.
The third period saw the
light flash twice more for
Clinton. as Ruth Anne Neilans
fired one in -at 14:31 in .the
period. with an assist from
Jennifer Luckham. Patti Kay
sank an unassisted goal at
35 in the third period.
Clinton travelled to St.
Marys Sunday night, bringng
home another 2-1 victory.
Clinton remained ahead 2-0 .
until the third period when St.
Marys scored at 4:18. Sandra
Fremlin started the scoring
for the Raiders with an
unassisted goal at 0:26 in the -
first period. Jennifer
Luckham dumped one in at
0:45 in the second period, with
assists from Sandra Burns
and Debbie Cook.
The Raiders were glad to
see the Clinton fans in St.
Marys Sunday night and hope
to see support like- that when

Our last dual meet was held
at CHSS Tuesday February
10. Our Redmen wrestling
team met Stratford Central in
a show of good wrestling and
sportmanship.

all the "Heart" they could

a win in their second game
with W ingham.
The very' physical game
ended with Wingham on top,
2-1.
Good effort was given by
every player for Clinton. with
their only goal going to Paul
Stephenson.
Mike Williseraft was in net
for both gamei.
Although our team lost. the
score was close 45-33 in
favour of Stratford.
Our team, jumped .into an
almost insurmountable early
lead, with victories by John
Pecki-tt, Alex Harrett and
James Armstrong. But the
Central team had a stronger
heavy weight class and
defeated all our wrestlers
from 1.57 pounds upwards.
At Huron -Perth. our team
fared better. The CHSS
Redmen placed sixth. beating
out Seaforth and Stratford
Central. This shows im-
provement in our team.
A total of three wrestlers
will be going to WOSSA. Alex
Harrett won second spot at
Huron Perth at 130 pounds.
John Peckitt was second al
123 pounds and Tim Munnings
was third at 148 pounds.
