Thieves bit the Brucefield
Post Office on Christmas
night and stole old age pen-

accident last Sunday, Injured,
were Eddie Steegstra, 21, of
RR 3, Clinton and Mary Ann
de Groot, 17, of RR 3, Blyth.
Both had serious back in-
juries and were taken to'

London.
Huronview workers Were
given a 40 percent pay ' in,

Work . `began on the in-
stallation of a gas pipeline
that will bring Huron County
natural gas into •Huronview
and Vanastra. The gas wells
are located at Stanley
township. ,
A new halfway house was
started in Vanastra. On
December 4, 1974, a private
home for discharged
psychiatric patients was
opened by Mrs. Claire
Haskett. People come to
Heather Gardens (as the
home is called) from
,psychiatric hospitals in
London, St. Thomas,
Woodstock and Goderich.
The Centennial baby was
born this week. The baby,
Christopher, is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Mark Kennedy, RR
1, Londesboro.
What is believed to be a
small twister hit Stanley

Marina expands at Bayfield

County is 90 percent
agricultural in base and any
development must be sup-
portive of the main industry
in the area: agriculture, ra

subinitted the winning entry

committee, and received 850

background with a gold Town
of Clinton crest and the dates
1875-1975 in the corner.
The Agricultural Society
decided last week to apply to
the ministry of agriculture
and food for. "B" status in the
Spring Fair, because their
expenses had risen con-
siderably in the past several
years. •
The .Clinton Spring Fair
would become the second
"B" Fair in Huron county and
thus would be' eligible for
bigger grants and could in-
crease their prizes. Seaforth
Contest to the Centennia1......has the other "B" fair.
