Needint be boring.
Most people' know that they can fulfill
some of their • daily nutrition.al., needs
for milk by eating ice mom and milk -
based .desserts. But they don't know •
the. alternatives to the other three basic
food grougis: meats; vegetables and
fruits; and breads and weak. For
instance, the main course usually takes
care of 'our needs for foods from the
moat group. 14/t did you ever consider
that the eggs used in a baked custard,
for example, also counts toward your
requirements for meat. Just hke a
snack of peanut. butter and crackers
does before bed. Think of the fruits'and
vegetables group. Som. of your family
may be turned off by the sight of
asparagus or broccoli, yet devour
pumpkin pie for dessert WA, don't
be concerned. The nutritional require-
ments are still being metr:-The'same goes
-for fruits in cobblers, pies. and short-
cakes.
