On Friday, January 2, the Grand Bend Atoms came to Bayfield to play the Atom team, ending in a 6 - 6 tie. Bayfield goals were scored by Robbie Siertsems, assisted by Darin Telford and Rob Chapman; Robbie Siertsema with a hat trick assisted Darin Telford, David Phoenix and Rob Chapman: David Phoenix assisted by Wayne Gale and cRobbie Siertsema; Darin_ Telford assisted by Robbie Siertsema and Rob Chapman with Robbie Siertsema tying the game with the sixth goal, assisted by Darin Telford and Devid Phoenix. Before moving to Bayfield permanently, Rev. Bennett was rector of a three-point parish in Ridgetown, near Chatham. His Churches were the Church of the Advent, Church of the Redeemer, %Highgate and St. Johns -- Morpeth Church.. Rev. Bennett was asked by the Right Rev, T. David B. Ragg, Bishop of Huron to take the call in Bayfietd. "I was` happy to accept the position," he said. This past summer, Rev. Bennett and his wife' Jeanne went to Australia to visit with one of their sons and a daughter. Upon their return. the Bennetts visited with their son Robert, a minister in Chesley while recovering from jet lag. Many visit village Mr. and Mrs. David James Middleton.
