Pupils from county- public schools attended. andaeemed to be impressed by the or- chestra's seund. This sound was excellent; as clear and balanced. as almost any professional orchestra. The selections. theY PleYed. however, did not exhibit their Nil range of volurae and style, They played first a pleasing medley of Christmas songs and carols arranged by Lero Anderson. "Jingle Bells" made an interesting break in the soft flowing style of the rest of the medley. The orchestra next played the "Children's Prayer" from "Hansel and. Gretel" by H4mperdinck, to introduce the orchestra sections to their young audiefice. There was a Christmas carol sing-a-longand the orchestra played "Sieighride" also by Leroy Anderson, as a finale.
