at an increased rate of 5118
per week for 260,
householders. up from
present $68. plus 55 weekly
rate for garbage removal at
the curling rink and 58 at the '
day care and recreation
centre. Any new householders
will pay at the rate of 55 cents
weekly.
Council accepted the tender
of Robert Nicholson, RR 1,
Sebringvife, for 58.000 for
repairs to Shepherd Creek
drain, the lowest of three
tenders. Work to be com-
pleted by July 10, 1976.
Passed for payment were
accounts totalling 5284,605.23,
including general accounts of
5259,627.85 which included
levies to Huron County of
$135,770.16;4 Huron County
board of education,
587,340.06; and Huron -Perth
County Rornan Catholic
separate school board,
$6,542.05; road accounts.
$7,95949; Vanastra Dray Care
Centre. 55.654.08, and
Vanastra Recreation Centre,
Si 1.364.30.

Exeter trustee Clarence
McDonald, chairman of the
committee, presented a two-
level car allowance plan
effective November', 1975.
It would have. given the
director of education,
superintendents. manager of
transportation and itinerant
teachers working out of the
Administration Centre a car
allowance of 560 per month
and 14 cents per mile.
Board members and all
employees not specifically
referred to in the first section
would get 19 cents per mile.
Trustee John Elliott was
the first to voice objection to
the increasts. He , com-
mented,- **I'm personally
against increases at this
time. This is maybe a good
spot to stop the spiral."
Bob Peck said he talked
recently to Huron Warden
Anson McKinley and was told
the County was happy with a
pay scale similar to the
school board's proposal.
To this Elliott replied,"We
should be a board, not a
bunch of followers of the
county."

The new agreement with
bus drivers employed by the
board calls for an annual
salary of 52,900 to be paid in
ten equal payments. Spare
bus drivers will receive 515.50
per day.
Sick leave of ten days may
be accumulated at the rate of
one day per month through
the school year and the
unused portion paid at the
rate of 515.50 per day at the
termination of the school
year.
The rate for field trips will
be 54 per hour with a
minimum of 55 per trip.
