last week's News -Record.
The ad was part of Rev. Ed
Baker's attempt to bypass the
current mad strike.
The minister at Duff's
United Church, Walton
makes regular trips to
London and was going to
Sarnia last weekend, He put

could take along with him.
He, found out that in this
area at least, there's not
much interest in a courier
service. He got a few calls
asking where he'd deliver and
how much he was charging
but he acOtally took only a
couple of letters and parcels
to be mailed to the U.S. from
Port Huron.
Mr. Baker who didn't plan
on any set charge for his
services. **that would make it

he might be able to get people

says he doesn't go there
usually. He wasn't planning
this as a business venture he
says, but when he was going
to London and Sarnia anyway
"I'd just as soon take
something along."
Mr. Baker says he has
worked in a factory himself
and doesn't like to be a strike
breaker. Now he's pondering
whether to offer the service
for another week or not A lot
depends on how long the
strike will last. Most people
seem to be just putting up
with it.. he's concluded,

He said there has been

of the earth that are thought
