The Clinton Juveniles
managed to pick up a tie out
of two games away from
home this past weekend.
On Friday night. excellent
defense from Paul Robinson
and Dave Bartliff kept Mount
Forest from totally running
the Clinton boys right out of
the arena, but instead kept it
down to a 10-1 trouncing.
Greg Butler scored Clin-
ton's only goal. which was set
two wins
seemed to take too much for
granted.
Clinton's next game is at
home on Saturday. against
Hensall for their first meeting
of the year. '
Girls beat Mitchell, 11-3
On November 16, St. Marys
downed the Clinton Raiders
girls' hockey team 4-1. The
game. however, was
protested and will be played
again in the near future.
Last Thursday night's
game against Mitchell
brought another win for the
Raiders, this time by an 11-3
count.
Mitchell scored twice in the
first period but the Raiders
struck back with four goals.
Mitchell's goalie was kept
busy in the second period as
the Clinton team dumped four
more goals in.
The Raiders scored three
more in the third period.
while Mitchell fired one in.
leaving the final score at 11-3.
Sandra Fremlin and Debbie
Cook were the top scorers of
the night.
Sandra. Fremlin with two
unassisted goals. was
assisted in two more by
Phyllis Fremlin. Pattie Ray
and Cheryillynn.
Debbie .'Cook played hard
and shot accurately for her
first hat trick of the season.
She was assisted by Lorrie
Symons, Sandra Fremlin,
Sandy Burns and Debbie
Wilkinson.
Scoring twice for the
Raiders was Pattie Kay.
while singles went to Debbie
Wilkinson and Sandy Burns.
Tonight (November 27) the
Raiders host St. Marys.

On Sunday night, the local
boys travelled to Howick to
battle a very' rough and
rugged team. Greg Butler
opened the scoring at 4:58 of
the first period on a pass from
Phil McCabe -only after Paul
Walter missed a clear shot on
a breakaway.
The Clinton boys fell behind
2-1 as Howick scared in each
of the first periods. Clinton
controlled the majority of
play. but ran into superb
goaltending and had to settle
for a tie as Dave Counter
connected an Paul Walter's
pass to make it 2-2 as Howick
was playing a man short.
The Juveniles play at home
this Sunday afternoon at 5:30
p. m. against Arthur.
Midgets win first
The first scheduled game of
Clinton Lions Midgets was
played in Clinton on Satur-
day, November 22 when
Clinton beat Seaforth 7-4.
Robert Heard put in the
first goal for Clinton with Bill
Roy and Gary Tebbutt
assisting. The second goal
was also scored 6y Robert
Heard, assisted by Peter
Thompson and Allan Taylor.
The first and second goals
wee both unassisted in the
