of a bouquet of pink japonica
in bloom. Mr, "Jake" Roorda
of Rattenbury St. W. in
Clinton picked the japonica
from his garden on Tuesday.
"Jake" relates that Itis most
unusual for it to bloom twice
in one season. All at
Huronview are enjoying these
fresh blossoms which have
been fashioned into a
delightful arrangement in the
dining room.

a gift of 46 pairs of band'
knitted mitts from Mrs. Ena
Howatt of Londesboro. These
mitts will become part of the
contents of a bale to be sent to
the Indian children of Ogoki
in Canada's far northland.

Varna 4-H news
Meeting five of the Varna 11
441 Club was held on Wed-
nesday. Nov. 5 at Joan
Stephenson's home. We
started with the 4-11 pledge.
All the members answered
the roll call which was to
bring a loaf of sourdough
bread. We discussed a good
loaf of bread.
Joan demonstrated making
Cheese Puffs and Hamburger
Stacks. by Mary -Ann
Verhulst.
The sixth meeting of the
Varna II 441 was held on
November 17, 1975 at the
home of Mrs. Consitt.
We discussed breads from
other lands and Mrs.
Stephenson demonstrated the
Swedish tea -ring, Chelsea
buns and Hungarian bubble
ring.
The next meeting is to be on
November 26 at Mrs.
Stephenson's. by Sandra
Webster.

to Dorothy Carter and
Marjorie McNall, was the
most player with a

In the Clinton -Blyth "ladies
league, the Gutter Gals are on
top with 45 'points. The All
Stars have 43; 'Footles
Fruities, 40; the Happy Gang,
39; and Alms Angels and
Lary Susans with 37 and 36
points consecutively.
The high single of 315 was
bowled by Moira Robinson,
the high triple of 763 by Rena
Kolkman, and the high
average of 219 by Mary
Davey.
Coopers Crew is ahead 11
points this week in the
Huronview Mixed with points
totalling 31. Dianne's Demons
are next with 26 points. then
come the Champions Judy's
Jewels and the Unpredic-
tables. All with 22 points and
the Swingers with18.
Diane Elliott bowled the
ladies' high single of 2 and
the high triple of 638. while
Wayne Dupee bowled the high

League has two teams tied for
first place. Both the Road
