StInderson, S+ YEARS OLD Mrs. Eliza Stewart was honored last Saturday evening on the occasion of her nth birthday with a party in the 03,k,ubUrn Coinminity Memorrial hall. • Over 7$ relatives. , and friends'attended the party put on _. by her daughter, Mrs. Marian Sproul.. Relatives from London. Michigan, Port Albert, Blyth and Goderich attended and many gifts were presented to Mrs. Stewart. Gordon Stewart of Goderich spoke a few words of congratulations to his aunt and all jeined in singing Happy B irthday . Mrs.. Stewart replied thanking all 0' far coming, and,' those who arran the celebration. Mrs'.'Stewart was born in Ashfield Townshipp.,.near Port Albert, Eliza Young, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, Tam Young. In 1924, she married the late William J. Stewart of Ashfield Township and moved to their farm in West Wawanosh where they resided until he passed away in 1954. She has ' two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Stewart of Auburn and Mrs. Marian Sproul of RR 3, Auburn. There are three ° grand- children. • She is a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Auburn. She was 87 years of elge, the daughter of the late John and Sophia knack. She was born in Waterloo Township and attended Maple Grove school. Waterloo County. She was married August $, 1916 to William Trommer at Preston. Following her marriage she has resided in Waterloo County, Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston, Auburn and the Pinecrest Nursing Home, Lucknow.
