annual meetings of the
Huron -Perth Agricultural
Societies to be held .-in a
number of years was held in
the Milverton Legion Hall,
recently with 140 members
attending.
Mrs. Judy Bail, Milverton
was the guest speaker and
greetings were brought from
Perth County Warden George
Wilson, Reeve Maurice Bain,
Milverton,' N.W.T,, Ashton
Perth County Ag, Rep., and
Al. Peppin of the Toronto
Branch of the Ontario
Association of Agricultural
Societies who introduced the
Queens of the Fairs.
Attending were: Gwen
Kahle, Mitchell, Karen
Dawson, Stratford; Nancy
Castle. Clinton; Nancy Dietz,
Seaforth; and Elizabeth
Armstrong, W Ingham.
" Director Murray Scott,
Belgrave acted as chairman
for the evening and Mrs, Jean
Reaney Mitchell. conducted
the Women's Section.

Crediton boys into his car
Monday afternoon and Bien

block before driving away.
Viola Wilson told police a
man in a late model car
pulled up beside two 11 -year-
old boys, Bernie Wilson and
Scott Geiser, as they were
returning from a store.
The man was said to have
stopped his car near the boys'
home and attempted to entice
them into the vehicle with
offers of candy.
When the boys refused, the
man got out of the car and
followed one of the boys after
the two had run off in dif-
ferent directions.
The man was reported to be
in his early 39's of short build,
and wearing week panta, a
plaid jacket and hat.
Nine Ontario Provincial
Police officers converged an
a St. Josephs area home early
Wednesday morning, Nov. 5,
after being advised that a
man had barricaded himself
in the building and had a
weapon.
Police were told he had
pointed the firearms at
members of his family.
About an hour after
arriving, the officers from
Exeter, Goderich, Pinery and
Forest detachments arrested
47 -year-old Willis Marsolais,
RR 2. Zurich.
He has been charged with
possession of a weapon
dangerous to the public peace
and a second A charge of
pointing a firearm.
