On Wednesday, November
5. about 50 ladies of the
village attended a
miscellaneous shower for
PaulhmAirdrie.
Corsages were pinned on
Pauline. her mother and Mrs.
Simon, the groortes mother,
by Addle flunking and Dora
Shobbrook. A dessert lunch of
cake and ice cream was
served.
After lunch, conte
conducted by Clara Riley,
travelling cards were won by
Mary Longman. Pauline
Airdrie, and Linda and
Janette Johnston. Bingo
cards filled with household
articles were won by Norma
Gleusher and Shbley Lyon.

Brucefield UCW is in the swim
Unit three of Bruce
United Church Women held
their final meeting of the year
as a family SOCild. Seventy-
five attended the hour swim
at Vanastra Pool, while
others spent a social hour at
the church.
After swimming, everyone
returned to the church hall.
Rev. Stephens gave the
blessing, and 91 sat down to a
smorgasbord dinner.
President, Mrs. Arnold
Taylor conducted a short
business meeting.
The travelling apron is on
its last rounds and a dime
contest was completed. which
was a huge success with the
proceeds going towards the
Pressey Family Fund.
Joan Grunewald and
Norma McGregor are taking
the worship for the General
Christmas Meeting. The new
slate of officers was read.
Thanks was extended to the
committee for arranging the
much enjoyed day.
