football semi-final Tuesday.

Most of Murray's total
rushing yardage came on
touchdown runs as he scored
from 50, 37 and 22 yards out. '
Quarterback Robin McAdam

on a two -yard dive and kicked

Hawks nipped Mainstreet by
a score of 42.
There are rumours that the

Ladies intermediate
hockey open their season
when they play Seaforth
tonight at 6:30 in the Clinton
arena m their firs1 game.
There are 14 members on
the team from the age of 15
and up. Sandy Fremlin is
acting captain. with Steve
Wilkinson as coach and Gary
Weir as manager.
The team belongs to the
Western Ontario Athletic
Association and will be
playing Seaforth, Dublin,
Mitchell and St. Mary's in
their seasons schedule.
The intermediates are the
only women's team in Clin-
ton,
Coach Steve Wilkinson
said: ''We wouldn't mind
getting a younger team in
town, like a bantam team or
some juveniles, hut not
enough girls seem in-
terested,"
In the Clinton, Crown YBC
teen Bowling League this
week, the Neytts have
collected 82 points, Holland's
Hoppers „ 79 and one half
points, The We -ye had its 76,

The Vanastra Curling Club
began its open curling week,
Monday, November 3 to
Saturday, November 8,
Anyone is welcome to come
and try the sport out. The rink
will be open from 7 p.m. on
Thprsday and Friday and
from noon on Saturday. -
Regular league play will
begin on Monday, November
10. Tuesday night will be
ladies curling, Thursday
night.- men's curling and
Wednesday and Friday nights
will be mixed curling. Times
are still up for discussion.
Fees are 535 for women, 550
for men and 520 for students.
About 100 people have
joined the club this year, so,
far. Last year the club had 80.
members.)
