The minutes were approved as read by - the secretary, Mrs. Donald Haines and she also gave the financial statement. She reported that seven pairs of pillowcases had been ernbroidered for flurixrview. Plans were made to cater to the -dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McCli nchf y's golden wedding anniversary on November 1. An invitation to attend the Tiger Dunlop November meeting was accepted. A monologue of the history of Auburn was given by Douglas GIffier. A solo was. sung by Miss Nancy Anderson accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth McDougall. A piano solo was played by Miss Doris Naylor. The directors are to meet with the executive of the Horticultural Society to plan the annual Christmas Family Night. It was decided to cater to a banquet on December 10. Mrs. Donald Cartwright gave the report of the County Rally and Mrs. Andrew Kirkconneli reported on cards sent and read the thank you notes received. Guests were welcomed .by Mrs. LawrencePlaetzer and Mrs. ErnestDtin anile ushers were Mrs. Ross Robson and Mrs. William Empey. Mrs. Norman Wigbtman was the organist. Ms, McDowell led in the worship service and gave a reading, That First Thanksgiving Day. The scripture lesson, Psalm 100, was read by Mrs. Stanley Ball followed by a Thanksgiving meditation by Mrs. McDowell and prayer by Mrs. Gordon Gross. Mrs. Emerson Rodger and Mrs. Thomas Jardin sang a duet. . ^ *Thoulaa J. :.Ant trod the ,mt er, Miss Lae Bergh of 'gingham. She gave an in- spiring Thanksgiving message which made each and everyone reflect on her own thankfulness to God for His many mercies. Mrs. Maurice Bean thanked Miss Ballagh and presented her with a gift. Guests were present from Winghazn, Belgrave, Don- nybrook, Victoria St., Goderich, and the other churches in the village. The fifth meeting of Auburn I, Crusty Critters, 4-R club was opened by the president, Faye Seers. After the usual business, the roll call was answered by each girl showing a loaf of sour dough bread which they had made. Plans for the exhibit on Achievement Day were discussed.
