polyester compound for added -protection from road dirt, etc.
• An undercoat and sealer coat then follow and they in turn are followed by three &victor •
coats (this process puts about 33 lbs. of paint on a Volvo)
• The underside is well protected with two thick coatings of protective sealer designed to
protect the car from the ravages of salt.
• Last but not least the car is given a liberal coating of rust -proofing fluid to all interior
body areas, such as inside door panels, inside the trunk lid, around the front and rear fender
housings, inside the centre door posts, and rocker panels ---live type of rustproofing you
would normally pay to have done after you had bought your new car.
