The **Vets were donated by the Illdted Church Women, The redecoration of the Church was completed by volunteers sharing their time and talents. Special gilts for further drapes and panelling to complete the Church decorating were given by special group of friends in the congregation. Special music was ren- dered by the choir, singing "God himself is with us" and "When the Roll is called up wilder", with Louise Lovett organist and Mrs. Allen Shaddock, choir leader. Rev. Grand Mills of Exeter was guest speaker, reading Seminar planned for businessmen A business management seminar primarily for people interested in small business wflibebeldM Goderich at the •Comindielight Restaurant ,(Conference Room) on November 12. Arranged by the advisory services department of the Industrial Development Bank, in cooperation with the Goderich Businessmen's Association, the seminar will be one of several hundred conducted by the Bank in smaller cities and towns across Canada. Some 25 to 35 people in- terested in business are expected to attend the sernhtar which will- consider --Operating-prolections-and- - financial statements of a small business and the effect that an expansion has on Own. Berean Unit The Berean Unit of UCW held their meeting on Tuesday in the Sunday School rooms. President Gladys Gourley opened the meeting with a poem "Thankful". The theme for devotions was Thanksgiving. The Scripture was on Rejoice and meditation was a reading on "BeingThankful". Rev. McDonald showed film "Someone must Care" showing different homes the United Church sponsor. The Church sponsors homes for the elderly, the disturbed, half way houses for alcoholics and unwed mothers. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary. Nona Pipe; and the treasurer's report by Dora Shobbrook. Happy Birthday was sung for Mary Robinson and Dora Shobbrook. The Semen Unit donated a quilt to the family of Wayne Kennedy who were fire victims earlier this year. The UCW general meeting will be November 10. The Berean meeting will be November 11, with Alice Davidson and Jessie Jones in charge. Rev. McDonald showed a film "Life of. a Japanese Family" which discussed their way of travel, traffic safety, showed Christian church and school and the Buddhist Temple and Imperial Palace. England have been visiting with. Bruce and Dianne Lobb. Mr. Riley spoke at the Fellowship Bible Chapel last Sunday. They are taking a letter for Hank and Beryl Gelling, Holland from Bruce and Dianne to England where they will mail it, since our mail strike has begun. The October meeting of the S.S. 4 Community Club was held at Harriett Tyndall's home.
