groom is the son of Mr. and `Mrs.
Albert E. Cattell, Longueuil,
Quebec.
The double ring ceremony was
performed' by Rev. G.
Youtnatoff, Bayfield, and
organist Miss C. Potter provided
the music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride looked lovely in
a Rook -length Satin gown with
chiffon overlay accented with
pink daisies and . an empire
Colcltlugh
waisted cape. To complement the
gown, the bride wore a lacy flop
hat.
The bride was attended by Miss
Margaret O'Brien, maid pf
honour.' of Clinton, and
bridesmaids were Miss Patricia
Granger of London. and Miss
Kathy Colclough of Clinton. The
flowe* girt was Miss Dawn
Laureen flunking of Clinton.
The best man was Randy
Grubb of Montreal', and the
ushers were Bruce. Cattell of
Montreal, and ..Dials Reaney of
London.
Following the wedding, there
was a dance at the Clinton
Legion. The wedding couple r
honeymooned in Niagara Falls.
The couple are residing in
Landon.

Friday, August .22 at 6 p.m. for
the wedding .uniting Patricia
Colleen Wise and Robert Charles
Hodgins.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. C. Ray Wise of RR 3,
Clinton and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A.
Hudgins of Mississauga.
Rev. George Yournatoff, the
rector. performed the double ring
ceremony. Miss Becky Howse,
Clinton, gave readings of poetry
to the accompaniment of
background music "A Time. For'
Us' and "Love Story" provided
by Mrs. Joseph Storey. organist.
During ' the wedding ceremony
the rector sang "The Lords
Prayer". •
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride was dressed in
a floor -length • gown of sheer
organza, stylNed with -a scooped
neckline and empire waist. The
long. sheer sleeves were 4c-
cented with daisy trim and lace
motifs. The full skirt. also
trimmed with daisies and lace,
fell gracefully into a cathedral
train. She wore a Juliet cap with
a three -tiered full-length veil of
French illusion with scallopped
trim. Site darried a bouquet of
yellow swbeth°eart roses, white
starburst mutes and baby's
breath centred with a mauve
orchid: .
Miss Anne Pippard of Sarnia
was maid of honour. She wore a
floor -length halter dress in
mauve floral print polyester with
matching short jacket, styled
with tie front and cape sleeves'.
Miss Marlene Yeo, of Clinton,
and Mrs. Lyn Shephard of
Unionville, sister of the groom,
were bridesmaids and they were
attired in yellow and pink
respectively, similar to the dress
of the maid of honour. They
carried nosegays of starburst'
Mums. baby's breath and mat-
ching ribbons to each gown. They
also wore similar ribbons in their
hair. -
The groomsman was Dots
Hodgins. Fort Smith N.W.T.,
brother of the groom, and ushers
were Don Wise. brother of the
bride and Ken MacKenzie,
Windsor friend of the groom.
The reception was held at the
White Carnation, Holmesviile
where the guests were received
by the brides Mother, who- wore a
floor -length gown of blue floral'
print sheer polyester with-
matching
ithmatching long sleeved coat and
white accessories. She wore a
corsage of pink sweetheart roses
and baby's breath ajd matching
flbwers'in the hair: The groom's
mother assisted. wearing a floor -
length sleeveless turquoise dress
of ribbed knit with a white stole
and corsage of white stephanotis
and baby's breath.
The bride's table was centred
by a three -tiered wedding cake
flanked by lighted tapers in floral
arrangements. Dbug Hodgins
was Master of Ceremonies and
Edward Wise proposed the toast
to the bride. The dance music
was provided by "Shannon".
The couple left on a trip to
Eastern Ontario and New York
State. the bride travelling in a
beige pant suit with gold trim.
beige accessories and a corsage
of yellow sweetheart roses.
They are residing in
Mississauga where the groom is
employed with the Provincial
government in Toronto and the
bride is on staff of Clark Blvd.
Public School in Brarnalea.
Pat was honored at various
showers prior to her marriage.

don; Mrs. Mildred Carruthers
entertained at ' her cottage : St.

Willowdale, Sarnia, London,
North West Territories,
Mississauga, Unionville.
Markham, Windsor. Dunnville,
Roseneath. Port Hope, Oshawa,
Lucan, as well as Clinton and
district.

Tuesday, September 30 at St.
Josdph'ss Church Hall. This
course teaches "How to speak
more effectively".
An enthusiastic crowd of 1,631
gathered at Jehovah's Witnesses
Assembly Hall at Norval this past
weekend for their semi-annual
circuit assembly. The entire
Clinton congregation were in
attendance as delegates.
Hari Mr Nally. spokesman for
the local congregation. agreed
that the special program will aid
all ip their determination to work
in harmony with the assembly
theme, "As for us, we shall serve
Jehovah." 'Phis is vital. as the
Bible indicates mankind shortly
faces the greatest time of distress
in history.
• The main feature of the con-
vention was the discourse on
Sunday entitled. "How the
Kingdom of God Affects You".
delivered by K. McCann, District

nesses. Ile explain ' from the
Bible that ; "The Kingdom is
affecting people today. dividing
them as sheep and goats." He
added that, "No matter what
governments of rnen do, they
cannot stop the preaching of the
Kingdom message." McCann
continued on to show that God's
peorle are secure under Kingdtsnr
rule - they have been since the
Scripturally indicated date of
1914. and while the destruction of
world governments is imminent,
the Kingdom will bring blessings
to all loyal subjects very soon.
The assembled Witnesses
rejoiced to see 18 new ministers
baptised in water in symbol of
their dedication to da Jehovah,
God's will.
