The senior Leaders training

22nd and the institute rally for
West Huron will be held in
Belgrave October 6th.
Registration is at 9:30. Two
quilts are to be displayed from
each branch, one old, one new,
with origin of pattern. A guest
speaker will talk on history of

sandwiches and cookies will '

Braille, Her husband attended'
Brantford School for the blind
and she is -at present a student;
of Braille. She mentioned haw
quickly people come to your -aid
to get from one bus to another
in a bus station when they see a
white carne. `There are helps to
keep lines straight when
writing or signing your name.
Braille measuring tapes,
needles, timers, and stickers
for food cans.
One can buy a stove with
braille numbering to assist a
blind women with her cooking.
One has to go to United States
to get a seeing eye dog and,
train with him for three weeks.
The dog picks you, you don't
pick the dog 'and they are one
man dogs.

entertain. Following the closing
of the meeting, members at-
tended the Parlour Tea at
Wesley -Willis United Church.
`Pro -Life Group plans
second annual dinner
The September meeting of
the Goderich and District Pro
Life Group was, held on Mon-
day, September 22 in the for-
% mer Queen Elizabeth school,
Goderich. Co-chairman Mrs.
Connie Osborn gave a special
welcome to three visitors from
Alliance for Life (Wingham
Branch) formerly known as
"The Voice of the Unborn".
The minutes of , the June
meeting and a . Board of
Directors meeting was read
and approved.. Unfinished
business arising , from these
minutes were completion of the
plans for the 2nd Annual Dinner
rneeting to be held on Wed-
nesday, October 22 at ,the
Victoria Street United Church.

discussed and prime hearing

Discussion followed on the
formation of Youth Pro, Life
Groups (up to age 25) and the
formation of new pro life
groups in surrounding towns or
if•branches of the main body be
formed.
AdriarKeet, Chairman of the
Wingham B ranch of the
Alliance for Life announced
that plans are being made for a
dance to be held in the
Wi'ngham Armory on Saturday,
October 25. Tickets are
available from Teresa Cour-
tney 529-7189.
He also announced that a
public hearing on Violence will
be held at the F.E. Madill
Secondary School, Wingham on
Wednesday, December 3.

are Judy Laarsh, Judge
Lucien Beaulieu and Scott
Young. The commission invited
briefs to be sent to the Royal
Commission on Violence in the
Commissions Industry, 151
Bioor St. W. Room 810, Toronto.
This commission had been
appointed by the Govt. of
Ontario to study whether
people are harmed by the in-
creasing exploitation of
violence in movies, on
television, radio, newspapers,
books, etc. A brief will be sent
by the Wingham branch.
Deadline for these briefs is
November 12.
Mrs. Penny Pelss gave a
report and evaluation of the
Clinton Spring Fair.
Plans for the coming year
will .be discussed at the next
meeting which will be held at
the Queen Elizabeth School,
Goderich on Wednesday,
October 15.
Lockwood Perdue
Mr. and Mrs. Donald James
Lockwood were married in
Holmesvitle United Church on
August 23.
Mrs. Lockwood is the former
Bonnie -Ann Perdue, daughter
- of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Perdue, Holniesville, and her
husband is the son of Mr. and
Mrs: James Lockwood,
Calgary; and grandson of Mrs.
Charles Lockwood of Clinton.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor -
length gown of white silk jersey
with a long built in: train. The
high neckline, back and front,
were trimmed with seed pears.
as was her Juliette headpiece
which, held a triple waist -length
veil. She carried a nosegay of
assorted flowers.

cousin of the bride, was the
maid of honour, while Alice
Zeyt, .Sarnia, and Dawn
Munday. Stratford, served as
bridesmaids. All wore iden-
tical floor -length dresses of
turquoise' blue crepe and
carried white and rose shasta

daisy nesegays. They wore
matching flowers in their hair.,
The junior bridesmaids were
the bride's nieces, Debbie -Ann
Perdue, London, and Kim-
berley Selwood, Barrie. They
wore turquoise full-length
dresses with figured sheer tops
with butterfly sleeves. They
carried wise daisy nosegays
and matching flowers in their
hair.
Best man was the groom's
brother, Ronald Lockwood,
Auburn. Ushers were Morris
ggart, Winnipeg; and John
McCLinchey, Belgrave.
Alice Zeyl was the soloist
accompanying herself on
guitar, in the church, and after
at the dinner. Mr. Jacob
Roorda, Clinton, was the
organist.
Mrs. Kathleen Lockwood and
Mrs. Jean Perdue, received
guests for the dinner held in
Ilolinesvilte Church.
A reception followed at
Vanastra Recreation Hall. Mr.
and ' Mrs. Lockwood are

two million world-wide.
A program providing ad-
vanced training, including a
model ministry school, sym-
posium of lectures and prac-
tical demonstrations; will be
held in Jehovah's Witnesses
Assembly Hall at Norval,
Ontario, October 4 and 5. Over
1.000 delegates are expected to
attend from the . Clinton
congregation and seventeen
others in the surrounding area.

Mrs. • Grace Peck has
returned home after an ex-
tended visit at the homes of her
sister and brother, the Lyle
Statham and Lorne Elders of
Kingsville.
She was accompanied home
by her sister, Mrs. Fred Howe,
who will be joining her husband
in Niagara Falls where he has
been in hospital, and they will
be leaving shortly for Tucson.

Dungannon, sister-in-law of the
bride. and she wore a long pink
floral dress, and carried a
basket of colored daisies and
fern.
The bridesmaids were Miss
Nancy Caldwell, and Miss Pat
guests were present from
Calgary and Edmonton
Alberta, Montreal, Toronto,
•Kitchener, Port Alberni. B.C.,
Clinton, Seaforth, ` and the
surrounding area.
