presented with plaques

Legion Hall last Friday, and

The Harvest Thanksgiving
service was held at St. Paul's
Anglican Church.. The service
was conducted by. the .Rev. G.A.
Anderson. The theme of the
sermon was "Thames": Mrs.
Rowland McCaffrey of Exeter,
guest soloist, sang "The lost
chord" and "0 Lord of all".
The church was decorated with
vegetables and flowers. The
Forrest orchestra ac-
rcompaniedthe singing of the
hymns.
Steel girders for the roof of
the addition to the Big 0 Drain
Tile Company Lirnited were
hoisted into place on Monday
morning. The work is being
carried out by John Relouw of
Exeter.
The newly decorated groupd
floor of the Town Hall will be
re -opened to the public this
evening.

The second meeting of
Holesvilte 1 was held at Mrs.
Betties' home. -
Ma
Mary !ean, president,
opened the meeting and we all
repeated the 4,0 pledge, "A
basic ingredient of bread and
what it does" was the roll call.
The name chosen for our club
,.Yaing Yeast" was
suggested by Bev.
,After meeting four, the
record books are tb be handed
into aur leader. The two loaves
of freezer Whole wheat bread
were baked amd tasted.
We kneaded and made•one
oaL of bread and each girt
made a roll ---all from the basic
white bread recipe. Later these
were baled and eaten.
Each read from the mem-
ber's pamphlet and the
discussion followed. • The
meeting closed with the 4-H

Mr. and Mus. Freed Marshall of 135
James Street in Clinton celebrated their
50th Wedding Anniversary on September
19 at their daughter's home at RR 4,
Seaforth.
Previously, a dinner was held at
Bruffeld United Church intheir honor
iwith many friends and relatives'psent.
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall were (married in
McKeesport, Pennsylvania on September
19, 1925. She is the former Anne
Bechsteadt.
The happy couple lave --two darters.
Audrey, Mrs, J:D. Andersen of -Clinton:
and Barbara, Mrs. R.E. Van Den Neucker
of RR 4. Seaforth. They also have three
granddaughters, Missy Andersen. and
RriStin arid Kura Van-Uerr-Neueker.
