Miss Barbara Rudd of
Barre, formerly of Clinton,,
graduated this summer from
Georgian College of Applied
Arts and Technology, Barrie.
She received her diploma in the
Design Arts -Material Arts
Program, specializing in
weaving and textiles. She will
return to' Georgian College in
September to further her
studies in techniques and
design.
During the summer, Barbara
has been working at Barrie
Public Library in the
•"Experience 15" program,
sponsored by the Ontario
Goverinnent. Her project has
been the promotion of Talking
Books for those who cannot see
or, for some other reason, are
unable to use conventional
books. Her experience at
Clinton Public Library and also
with the 1973 OFY Senior
Citizens' project in Clinton has
been helpful to her this sum-
mer.

positive; of a very successful,
fishing holiday in northern
Saskatchewan, there is a
picture of Howard and wife.

Cathy Madill, IS, of Blyth, a stixlent at. Central Huron
Secondary School in Clinton, was chosen Miss Pork Hostess
for Huron County at a barbeque and dance In Seaforth
ThUriday. Runner-up was Judy Miller, 20, of R.R. 1, Dash --
wood. The contest and harbeque-dance were spconsored by
the Huron County Pork Producere-Astoclation. Miss Madill
now Win take part In the Southwestern Ontario competition.

Myth student picked
Huron Pork Hostess
An enthusiastic crowd of
1,233 pork lovers partook of the
Annual Pork Barbecue and
Dance in the Seaforth Arena.
Hundreds more had to be
turned away, because the
capacity of the barbecue
operated by Leo Kroonen of
Dublin was strained to the
limit.
After thedelicious meal,
competing for the honor to be
Heron County Pork Hostess
1975 took place. Six lovely girls
vied for the title.
After an interview with the
three judges, who quizzed them
on their knowledge of pork
cooking and table display, each
spoke for two minutes on the
merits ofjrk. The judgeswere
Mrs. Robert McKinley, Mrs.
Murray Gaunt and Mrs. Jack
Riddell, wives of Huron
County's three representatives
in Parliaments.

Imperial Bank of Comrlerce -
It has beceme a tradition
with the Huron Federation of
Agriculture to organize a
"meet the candidates night" at
election time. This year two
such meetings are to be held,
one at Exeter for tire riding of
liuron-Middiesex and one at
Wingham for the Huron -Bruce
riding.
On the night of September 11
at 8 p.m.. the Exeter highschool
will be the place where Liberal
incumbent John (Jack) Rid-
den, Progressive Conservative
James (Jim) Hayter and NDP
candidate Paul Carroll will
field questions from the
audience. This aedience is not
confined to members of the
Federation but is open to any
citizen who wants answers to
some questions.
On Septerober-9-at 8:30 p.m.
the Wingham highschool will be
the scene ,where Liberal in-
cumbent Murray Gaunt, with
the NDP candidate still to be
named will respond. The PCs
have not . committed them-
selves as yet.
If previous years' turnouts
are repeated. we can look
forward to large audiences of
interested voters.
