The Judge bad better news
for Anthony Bird 18.. of RR 2,
Clinton, Jack Cook 17, &James
Street, Clinton and Terence
Sullen 18.01 Bayfield who were
S• ound guilty of wilful damage
but were given a conditional
dischsirge of 12' months
probation. The trio had pushed
over a fence and slashed the
tires of several vehicles parked
in the Princess and Albert
Streets area after consuming
too much liquor while
celebrating their graduation.
• "Pushing over a fence I can
understand with the
exuberance of .youth but the act
at slashing tires is viewed by
me as a vicious act," Judge
Hays said.
Each ot the three have made
some restitution to the victims
of their vandalism . and the
Judge further noted that they
were all "Fundamentally
sound young men."
In closing remarks he added.
"It won't be necessary for them
to appear in court again if they
accept supervision and agree to
report once a month to a
probation officer."
For Carl Stryker 18, of RR 4,
Seaforth a fine ot 343 or four
days in jail for following
another vehicle too closely was
enough to settle accounts with
the Court. Mr. Stryker was
diving along on Victoria Street

road to look at a car lot. The
'glance cost him 3700 damage
when he drove his car into the
back of the Vehicle travelling in
. front him.
