The Kinsmen and Kinette
Motto is `"Serving the Com-
munities Greatest Need". In
fulfilling our motto we have
participated over the years in our
Town's activities. During Cen-
tennial year 1967 we sponsored an
Art Showing. Each year. we help
with the Winter Carnival. Also we
campaign for the Arthritis
Society and in the past the
"Mardi of Dimes. • Each
November our members man the
Hospital Cart. Over the years we
have furnished a ''Sun Room",
zonated a croupette. and a
itc mopheliac bed, and made tray
livors at the Clinton Hospital.
l-luronview Is one of our pet
-ervice projects over the past
-fight years pr so. We have helped
at teas and Birthday parties;
,ang Carols at Christmas and
written tetters for the aged who
.u -e unable to write. Two years
ago vire adopted 20 of the ladies as
Grandmothers and • remember
t em " apt tay t n. -We -have
Melted them to juin us for cards
,and dessert: also we have treated
them to Pot Luck dinners.
Recently we donated 8500.00
towards the purchase of a Van for
lfuronview.
In the past we have gone with
our Kinsmen to the Gi derich
Nychiatric , Hospital to_ play
!lingo with the patients.
During Minor ,, Hockey
'Weekends Of the past years we
have served many meats to
.tmbi•iaus and ene: otic young
hockey players.
The Kinetics instigated Girls'
1t ockey and Baseball in the town.
and provided coaches and funds
For these teams. •
We try to participate in any of "
the town `a activities, providing
floats for parades. aiding at..
Blood Donor Clinics and
providing frefreshnient for
cqurses held at the Palle Mont.
We've been a busy gcaup over
the years. during which time. the
cost of sponsoring a project has
just about doubled. Along with
working hardy we hate managed
to have lots of fun too. We even
had a dance instructor at one
point in time - and alt came out
Ii'iur-lurray tapes!
