The date of its con- struction has not been deter- • mined, but it is known to have been there in 1875. Adjoining it to the north was a two-storey brick •jewelry store operated by J. Biddlecombe and built by him in • 1875. Its site had previously heed occupied by a frame warehouse • owned• biSearle and Davis.
