1909 — 4s. Hoover. sold his- interest to D.J.
/Wilma andmovett to Guelph, the firm narnebeing
changed to Ball &
1921 — Zapfe of Wen Sound joined the firm.
having purchased Mr. Atkinsont share, and the
store -name was changed. to Ball & Zapfe.
1922 — The frrin purchased the hardware store -
beside it, owned and operated by Harland Bros. for
many years. The “Ambined business became known
• as the Clinton Hardware & Furniture Co, with Di,
Atkinson-rettirriing to the partnership.
1931 — D.J. Atkinson sold hitinterett to the other
Iwo partners, and the new name of the firm became
Bali & Zapfe •.
1940 — Nelson Sall died and his interest was
purdased by his son William N. Ball.
1945-1946 — Zapfe sold his interest to Douglas
G. Bali and the business was carried an under the
name of Bali Bros. '
The new firm purchased the -Geatve McTaggart'
residencftanitligh St. to be used as a Ftmeral 'Home.
In earlier times funerals were held_rriostly from
private residences and the churches. gradually
changing. to where they were held from ral

and the firm became Bali & Mutch.
1963 — The firmwas incorporated as a limited_
company under the title of Bali & Much Limited.
19611 — Ball & Mutch Ltd. was purchased by the
Present owners J.M. (Mac) Camertm and G.0.
(Clarence) Dammam, The staff of Ball and Mutch
-Ltd, consists of Norma Streets who has been with
the firm since 1949 and Mike Falcorier who has just
recently joined the company.
