1;pplicatioir to• amend -its cable television broade-asting
licence for Goderich. Clinton and Holmesville. Ont. to
change it -ac fee structure as follows:
- to increa:te its monthly fee from $5.00 to 16.00.
The above- are maximum residential fees; the applicant
will charge a special fee for extra outlets and proposes a
change in the bulk' tee's which are detailed in the ap-
plication.
Decisions: DENIED
The Commission received interventions opposing this
appHcatio n because of the poor picture quality of the
signals distributed by the licensee. The licensee submitted
that poor picture twalit) is due to the distances between,
the licensee's head end and,the transmitters of distant
television stations carried n its cable • television - un-
dertaking .

IN HISTORY!
The Comrtaission is not satisfied that all the problems of
picture quality relate to the reception of distant signals
and are beyond the capability of the licensee to correct.
The Conirrtission is consequently not willing to grant the
increase requested until such time as significant' technical
improvements have been made to the, undertaking..
