Last weekend, the Dublin
Shamrocks - parti"t?ipated" in the
Ontario Playdown Tournament
in St: Marys.. "
Since the team was a first
year team, great things weren't
expected from the girls. But
despite being one of the
younger -teams there, the girls
had_very little to berashained of
after the weekend was com-
pleted.
Friday night, the girls played
Milverton, last' year Mario
Champions, and were defeated
by "a close score of 64. The
game could have gone' ,hither
way but Milverton came out of
• -it victorious. • 4 - "`
played
Saturday.
Brockvrtlev facing elimination.
The girls pulled up their sticks
and came out with a 5-1 win.
The local girls on the team
played welt udder pressure and
showed the fans watching the
game that Dublin could well be'
a contender next year. .
Saturday night proved to be
the last game as ,we were
defeated by Oakville 104
The Dublin team had nothing
to be ashamed of and played
better ball then they have all
year.
Tonight in Dublin at 8:30" the
girls rneet.Hitchener Civilians
