The Bayfield Ever Young
Senior Citizens held their June
meeting and pick supper at
The Old Homestead, the
beautiful campgrounds on the
• old Clinton Road.
They ate supper en the lawn
in frontof the old farm house. It
was a beautiful' spot with trees
in the backgrou3id with birds
singing in the old apple trees
around them. A bountiful,
supper had been prepared by
the lady senior citizens .who
certainly can cook, and none of
the Supper came from a tin can
or the frozen section of a
' supermarket. Hot and cold
casseroles, cold meats, salads,
pies;,'cakes and tarts, tea and
coffee made a wonderful meal
which was _thoroughly enjoyed
by all.
After supper, Charles Curtis
played: -.his banjo Tor, ,u sing
song, some of v ltcch was a
musical guessing game which
- was entertaining- Mrs. J.B.
Higgins also sang a solo.
The president, Mrs. . Lloyd
Makins took the chair for a
~»_.short , business meeting. The
roll. call showed 35 members
and a few friends present.
Happy .birthday wishes were
sung to a number of members
having birthdays in June, July
and August. Mrs. Makins
welcomed members and ex-
pressed an invitation to the few
guests present to join the club
and meet with them when they
resume their meetings in
