Mrs. William Bell and Mrs. G. Bell served lunch. Mrs. R. Kinsman, president, was in charge of business. Personals Mrs. Harry Caldwell and John E. Caldwell attended the Baillie -Moore - wedding in Mitchell on Saturday. Mrs. N. Dickerthas returned from visiting relatives in or near Harriston. Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Meths visited Listowel on Sunday. — All roads lead to Kippen, for strawberry pickers, who are thick at Leonard Lovell's and Jack Bell's. The weatherman was rather unkind as :there was a. thun- derstorm early that evening and the hydro was off at the 'Tebbutt home while the rest of • the neighbours had lights. Since,we were unable to quilt, everyone had a visit before the meeting started. • . The president, Linda Jones, led the members in repeating the Creed . and The Lord's Prayer. Madelaine Bartlett read the minutes of the May meeting and, Roll Call was answered by fourteen members and one visitor with "I am or I am not going on the Bus Trip on June eighteenth". There was an exchange -of plant slips also. .Norene Tebbutt gave the treasurer's report. The bus trip was then di$cussed and final plans made. Tfie trieiiibers decided to give $15.00 to the Kennedy Fire Fund. , r The September meeting will be held at Madelaine-Bprtletts. The date will be decided later. The annual Community Picnic was to be held on June twenty-second in the Seaforth Park. Personals People in this neighbourhood and The Holtnesville area learned of the death of Edythe Shepard last week. Mrs • Shepard was the widow of Will' Shepard and lived in' Bellingham, Washington, U.S.A. She was in her ninety - fifty year. Her parents lived by - the; log house now bwned by ,Geo. Lavis near Holmesville. Eleanor Lobb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lobb has now completed her training as an RN at Conestoga College, Guelph. Jean Lobb has been away for a month visiting relatives. in Ireland. She was expected home Monday or Tuesday, so we.will have to get her account of *trip later.
