A ladies quartette including Betty /Campbell, Ruth Hupfee, Sarah Stephenson and Barbara 1VfcCutcheon sang several .old favorites and led a sing -a -long. A skit entitled "The Crises" was played by Sarah Stephenson and Barbara McCutcheon. The Swingers, a group of eight ladies, danced two square dance numbers. Following the program Mrs. Bessie Wintle expressed the appreciation of the residents and everyonein the Home were 'Oen treats of candy by the ladies, Maxie Flynn, 3ipn Murray, Hugh Hodgins and Norman Speir provided the old time music for Family Night with step dance numbers by Heather -and- Melissa Moff tt ac- companied by Mrs. Moffatt. .Debbie Flynn and Patrick Murray entertained with piano solos. Mrs. Scott thanked ail those responsible for the program on behalf of the residents. The residents enjoyed an afternoon of organ music on Thursday played by Mrs. Elsie Henderson and Mr. Ed Stiles. Stephen Flynn, the brother of the bride and Les Turner of Clinton ushered in the guests. The ushers also rolled out a white carpet prior to the mother -of -the -bride's _walk down the aisle. Hartley of Clinton, graduated June 3 from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts _degree in physical education. Miss Hartley plans to attend the Althouse College of Education in London this fall. Clinton Public • Centennial Day On Friday June 6, Clinton Public School held a Centennial Day. In the morning the Grade Seven's went to Kinburn Cemetary to trace old tomb- stones. The tracings were on display in the afternoon. In the afternoon parents were invited. Everyone wore clothes from the eighteen hundreds. Mrs. Jewitt's Grade 6 held a sing -song outside. After this parents wandered through the auditorium to see the displays of antiques, Barber Shop, General Store, and a bake sale.
