Judges Mrs. Betty MacGregor of Kippen and Mrs. Jean Baker of Clinton spent almost two hours in selecting the winning baby. The two nurses said they considered alertness, perception, age and cleanly appearance in judging the babies, adding that it was a difficult job to pick a winner from among so many entries who all deserved recognition. Sheila Cook, who was judged tops in the six months to one year age group, went on to win as first place baby in the entire Baby Show by default, when Jill Betties of Seaforth the winner of the under six months category, could not be found for , the final judging.
