the names of prize -winters :—

AXLSA CRAMI.
The spring show of the above society was
held in Ailsa Craig Wednesday. Although a
beautiful day only a moderate number were
in attendance. The show of horses, al-
though not larger was very good. Those in
attendance were of a superior quality, and
there was keen competition in the various
classes. Following is the prize list :

and the parts weakened from the continual'
application of the exciting cause, Continue to

of the injury has been removed.
Lameness is most obvious in trotting
upon
a hard road. The lane log is brought hs
much undet the body as possible, thus throw-
ing the weight on the outside heel. The
animal generally stands with the limb bent
and the heel raised somewhat, in the same
way as in grogginess. Corns,' although con-
stttutiut; unsounduesa, do not, in well -form-
ed feet, materially reduce an animal's value,
for, by careful shoeing, they may be god rid
of gradually.
T'roatnrent.—Pare out carefully the soot of
the corn, removing all reddened and diseased
horn ; reduce the crust of the quarter slight-
ly where it is unduly strong, but leave the
bars and frog untouched.
These must be preserved, especially in
weak feet, to afford a wide bearing for the
bar shoe that should afterwards be used.

The spring show of the South Huron
Agricultural Society was held. at Brucefield,
on Wednesday of last week. Contrary to
usage, the weather was as delightful as
could be desired. The show, while not in
advance of, was fully up to former years.
As usual, the imported heavy draught
horses formed the principal attraction, and
they were sight well worth seeing. There
were thirteen exhibited in the aged class,
and we may say they were the pick of the
Province. The judges had a very difficult
task, but we think their decision gave gen-
eral satisfaction. lathe other classes there
were not a large slow. There was an ex-
cellent show of bus, and several as fine an-
nuals as could be found anywhere. The
following is a list of the successful competi-
tot's :
