Tuesday afternoon with 13
people in attendance. Mrs.
Henderson opened the meeting
with a poem and spoke on her
themes, "Women of the Bible"
and "God Bless Your Mother".
Mrs. P. McBeath then played
the hymn, 'Happy Is The
House' on the piano.
Mrs. Stoll read Scriptures
from the Bible and the poem,
'Sara The First Woman'. The
offering was received and
dedicated. 'This Is My Father's
House' was sung, followed by a
prayer.
Mrs. Triebner chaired the
business portion of the meeting
and welcomed all present. Mrs.
C. Henderson read the
secretary's report and Mrs.
J. Henderson presented the
treasurer's report. Mrs. Berry
received a card and flowers
from the three groups.
June 3 was designated
Visitors' Day, when invitations
are extended to all ladies. Mr.
Paterson of the Retarded
Children in Palmerston will be
guest speaker.
The president closed the
meeting with a prayer and all
enjoyed a delicious lunch
served by Mrs. W. Scott and
Mrs. C. free-Wderson.

nurses on first floor of Clinton
Hospital for their many acts of
kindness while I was a patient

by playing bingo. Reta Scholl
played the piano for a sing

On Tuesday afternoon, the
Church service was conducted
by Rev. Harold Snell of Exeter.
He was accompanied on the
piano by his wife and he also
played several selections on his
violin.
Bernice Lavery went out for
dinner and a drive on Sunday,
and Louise Mitchell went for a
drive on Saturday.

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment' is developing a
Provincial sewage works programme to serve the Village of
Blyth wifh either a sewage treatment plant at one of four
possible locations:
Site No. 1 - approximately 700 ft. west of Wilson Street and
65.0., south (Atilt nortblimit of Lot 42, in the Village of Blyth.

Railway in the Village of Blyth.
Site No. 3 - on the east limit of Lot 41, Concession 1, in East

Site No. 4 - in Lot 42, Concession I, of East Wawanosh
Township adjacent to the east limit of lot and approximately
1,300 ft. from north limit.

The Environmental Hearing Board will conduct a public
hearing to obtain information and to hear lie views of the
public so that it can 4orm an opinion on the merits as to
whether the use and operation of the proposed sewage works
would or would not be in the public interest. Written and oral
submissios may be made to the Board at the hearing. The
Board will not consider any submissions regarding the
proposal after the hearing has been closed,
The hearing will be held on June 3, 1975 at 10:00 o'clock in the
morning, local time, in Blyth Memorial Hall, Queen Street,
Blyth, Ontario.
Plan of the proposed sewage works will be available for
examination and inspection during normal business hours in
the offices of the Municipal Clerks of the Village of Blyth,
Blyth, and the Township of East Wawanosh, Wingham,

Obituary
William Stuart of R.R. 1,
Centralia passed away at the
Blue Water Rest home in
Zurich on Friday, May 9, 1975 in
his 91st year.
He was the husband of the
late Lottie S. Burrell, and
father of Rev. Donald Stuart,
RR 1, Centralia, and Mrs. A.E.
(Freda) Crosby of London. Also
surviving are one sister Mrs.
Ada Stephens, England, four
grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
The late Mr. Stuart rested at
the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in
Hensall. A private funeral
service was held at Woodland.
Cemetery Mausoleum, London,
on Monday, May 12 with Rev.
John Beaton officiating.
Cremation and interment was
in Woodland Cemetery.

The second meeting of the
Holmesville I, 4-H Garden
Club, was held May 12 at the
home of Mrs. Bettles.
The president, Marie Bettles
opened the meeting and con-
ducted the business. Cathy
McI lwain read the roll call and
the secretary's report. Mrs.
Miller handed out several
pieces of literature.
We discussed preparing the
soil, growing young plants for
transplanting and planting the
garden. We also discussed
ways of looking after your
garden and flowers, and tidying
up our home surroundings.
Our next meeting will beheld
on June 2. The meeting was
closed with the 4-1-1 motto.—by

EXPLANATORY NOTE
By-law -No. 8 for 1975 for the Town of Clinton
provides for a Zone change in three different
areas within the Town as follows:
1. The lands now occupied by the Ball Funeral
Home and zoned as No. 3, residential, will be
changed to Zone 4 so that the present use will not
be non -conforming.
2. The lands now occupied by Boyes Transport
Limited on Ontario Street will be changed from
Zone 3, residential, to Zone 8, commercial.
3. The lands occupied by a grouji of five
residences on the West side of Base Line Road
and the Northerly end of the Town now Zone 1,
essentially a Holding Zone, will be changed to
Zone 3, a residential zone.

The :By=law also provides for an a
permitted uses of Zone -1 by removing most -
uses originally permitted and allowing only
single-family residences and a limited class of
farm operations and it also limits the lot size
requirements to an area of 10 acres.
The full By-law can be examined at the
Municipal Offices, Town Hall, Clinton, Ontario.
If you do not attend and are not represented at
this hearing, the Board may proceed in your '
absence and you will not be entitled to any fur-
ther notice of the proceedings.
In the event the decision is reserved persons
taking part in the hearing may (request a copy of
the, decision from the presiding Board Member.
Such decision will be mailed to you when
available.
