Brandon family of Bayfield,
who lost most of their
belongings in a flash fire that
destroyed their home on April

with the raffle of a glass turkey,
won by Joe Haskett of Lucan.
People began arriving at 7:30
for the 9 p.m. dance, which
featured the music of the
"Mozart. Melodies". Most of the
175 persons in attendance who
didn't leave the dance in the
early hours of the morning,
were looking forward to the
next one.

"A lot of them had worked till 9
or 9:30 at night and were just
too tired to come to the dance."
Approximately one-half of
the people who attend the
singles' dances regularly, are
joined each time with just as
many people who have never
attended a singles' dance
before:
Although registered as a
club, the Singles' don't plan to
charge a membership fee, for
fear that the Club could fall into
the hands of one class of people
and alienate others not in that
age group, for instance, Mrs.
Horbanuik said.
