Marie Flynn, Norman Speir, Jerry Collins and` Philip Regier provided the music and the Clinton Christian Reformed volunteers assisted with the afternoon activities. . • The Huronia Mixed Chorus of 30 members from Exeter and 40 surrounding area provided an Easter Cantata "Haydns Chorus" on Sunday evening. The program had .been presented on Easter weekend- . eekend• in Exeter and arrangements for the presentation at the Home was arranged by the Christian Women's Club. Mrs. McCaffrey is director of _ the chorus with piano ac- companiment by Mrs. Wildfong. and Mrs. Moffatt. Mary Van Camp thanked the group on behalf of the residents. The Family Night program was arranged by Mrs. Marjorie Huether and included talent from Wingham, Bluevale, Walton, Brussels and Clinton. The vocal numbers were by. Karen Johnstone Julie McCall and John Heuther who were accompanied at the piano by their music teacher, Mrs. Glen Johnston. There were piano in- strumentals by Sheila Burke and Ian Mann; accordian selections by Stephen Burke; dance numbers by Laurie Goodall and Karen Johnston. Watson Webster played some old time favorites on the mouth organ accompanied Marjorie e piano by his daughter Huether. Mrs. ltackwell, who is from the Walton area, thanked, the entertainers on behalf of the residents. Plans have been made to change the FamilyNight programs to Tuesday evening each week beginning in May with the Harboraires having the first Tuesday program on May6. Roll call was answered by l8 members who paid their dues. President Carol . Penhale presided. Secretary -treasurer Alice Porter read the minutes of the last meeting. She read the other correspondence, including a letter thanking the ladies for participating in canvassing for the Ontario Heart Foundation. It was moved by Mary Anne Yates and seconded by Millie Dempsey to hold a bake sale at The Homestead on Saturday, May16. The minutes of the last an- nual meeting were read. The reports were given by thee Secretary -Treasurer, Standing Committee Con- veners, Public Relations Officer and President. ,Mrs. Haines, the President for Huron -West District took ' the chair. She conducted a quiz on the Women's Institute. - Holmesville I 4-H The last meeting was held on April 14 with six members attending. Vice-president, Marie "Betties led with the pledge. Secretary, Janice Miller read last week's minutes and the roll call. Mrs. Miller read to us how to score a blouse and sleeve, knowledge quiz and what is your 4-1-1IQ?
